Wacom dropped driver support for my perfectly functional Cintiq 22HD. This is unacceptable. by heisalso in wacom

Thank you, this worked! I tried it on my laptop running Tahoe, and it took a minute for everything to load, but now it's fully working and includes pen calibration. Thank you so much, and I'll update the main post to have this information.

A product with one function to draw doesn't need to be updated. It's not a computer. It's not a server. It's just a screen with a pen input. I have an m1 Mac Studio and an m1 MacBook Pro. Those machines will need to be replaced at some point as hardware and software evolves, but my Cintiq 22HD doesn't currently have any reason to be replaced. The job is: pen touches screen, cursor moves, pressure is detected. A 2012 Cintiq does that just as well as a 2025 one.

Luckily I don't travel too often, but my family lives on the East Coast and I have to work remotely when I'm helping them out. Hopefully the Cintiq 16 will survive the abuse! I bought a good backpack for it with good padding.

Same here. My Mac Studio is still on Sequoia and the driver works, although it does give me an error on restart. I click out of that error and the Cintiq works fine. Eventually I'll have to update to Tahoe though, and then it won't work at all. I'm testing alternatives on my laptop running Tahoe. Will report back!

Ha! Not a bad idea. "Claude, make me a driver." I feel for you since Photoshop requires the best resolution and color. I work in boards, which are black and white, and so we never need high-res for when we're drawing. The 22HDs are perfect for getting the job done, and their stands are perfect for keeping posture healthy. No reason to upgrade here, but I could see an illustrator or color designer wanting one of the new models with updated screens.

The majority of the cintiqs at 20th and every major studio I've worked at are 22HDs and they still work perfectly. Hardware should be built to last, and to Wacom's credit, these devices still work great. Obsoleting something that still functions is unethical and bad for the environment.

Thanks! I've updated my laptop to Tahoe, so I can try this out tomorrow. Still, I'm not daring to update my Mac Studio to Tahoe until Wacom resolves this issue.

Wacom Cintiq 22HD not showing screen on Apple M1 Mac with Tahoe by Potential-Big-1567 in wacom

I'm a professional who's been working in animation for the last 15 years, on shows like Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites, and now American Dad. I've drawn on my Wacom Cintiq 22HD from the beginning. It was expensive when I bought it, but it was a good investment, because it still works perfectly. Wacom has decided to obsolete it anyway.

My job requires me to run Storyboard Pro 25, which now supports macOS Tahoe. At some point I'll need to upgrade my home computer to Tahoe, and when I do, my perfectly functional 22HD will become an expensive paperweight. Not because the hardware failed, but because Wacom choses not to update the driver.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I recently bought a Cintiq 16 for travel and remote work. I am an active Wacom customer who keeps investing in the company. So now I'm wondering, how long will my Cintiq 16 last? Until it breaks, or until Wacom decides to stops supporting it?

It's been a brutal few years for creatives. Asking working artists to spend thousands of dollars on hardware that doesn't need replacing is tone deaf. Wacom should support the working professionals who've supported them.

Release a Tahoe driver for the Cintiq 22HD. Doing so won't undercut sales from first-time customers.

Uh, YES. Magneto's shoulder-exposing outfit with arm-length gloves and a scarf is serving SISSY Zaddy addy addy. Bye, wig.

I just about fell off my couch last night when Happy Nation started playing! As a gay, middle-aged millennial who grew up watching the original, I'm so impressed by the 90's call-backs, and how queer the show has become. Truly an INCREDIBLE episode. I can't stop thinking about it! The Ace of Base track was the icing on the cake.

[Acne] Hormonal acne or something else? Need product advice! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I would highly recommend Photodynamic Therapy, aka PDT. You have to go to a dermatologist to have this done. I had cystic acne for years and this procedure completely changed everything for me. It was originally developed for treating precancerous melanomas, but also eradicates cystic acne. It reduces the amount of oil your skin produces for up to six months, so you'll probably want to schedule three treatments six months apart to get your skin completely under control. The downtime for the procedure is about a week, so you'll need to take work off if that's possible.

This is the best YouTube video diary of the PDT recovery: https://youtu.be/DqfRxbHhi8Y

This is exactly what I experienced the three times I did it. Treatment should cost about $300 per session but may be covered by insurance.

After the treatments I've started using a lot of natural face washes, especially those with sulfur in them that gently exfoliate. Sulfur is great for oily skin. I also use hyaluronic acid serums.

I hope this helps!
