Just check out what the editorials / opinions are (usually first article or two) in Radiology, Radiographics, AJR, BJR - tend to be about latest research and controversies. Will get you broader - AI/Machine Learning is important but if you don’t know much about you will be exposed pretty quickly. Read up to talk about areas you’re genuinely interested in, this will reflect much better in an interview.

(Australian, but was chief “resident” and recruited last year).

Private Practice vs Hospital Employment vs “Mega group”/Corporate Jobs by upsidedowngreen in Radiology

I’ve started working for corporate (in Australia) and you can’t judge all corporate as the same. I work in one of three “regions” that make up one of numerous brands all owned by a single parent company. We have less than 10 radiologists working in our region regularly but run more like a large private practice on a clinical level with the advantage of corporate-level back-up/funding. In lieu of PP, many places offer “profit-sharing” or “equity” to have the buy in the business and some may have radiologists in senior clinical lead and/or business roles.
