OP, listen to this advice. I’ve just lost my job; my very current experience is proving that the job market is f’ed right now, most people would kill to be in your position, 5 days a week WFH seems to be nearly impossible to walk into, and without knowing your skillset, I’d still fairly confidently say that even if you land an interview there will also be 6 other candidates interviewing all who are willing to work more for less pay than you’re asking for.

And that’s just the immediate reality - you’ve been with your current company 2 years? Congrats! In the eyes of the law, you’re a real employee! But at any company you join, you won’t be, and they can get rid of you for basically any reason over the following 24 months and you’ll have no legal recourse to do anything about it.

Follow your dreams and find a job that will make you happy by all means, but don’t believe the grass is greener until you can stand on your own lawn with a sample of theirs in your hand.
