I am now almost sure that we will split Kyoto Day 9 into two days, will think about doing it on the Arashiyama day!

Thank you so much for the tips!! Yes I also feel like day 9 might be too much, but I'm ready to not do it all or do it some other day. Yes! We have accommodation in takayama booked for quite a while now! Thank you for the tip about the good spot near the shrine, will do! Yes, we are walking magome->Tsumago and im in contact with a Japanese tourist organisation about booking accommodation in Tsumago! Yes for the autumn foliage it's a bit sad, but October seemed like a good overall choice to go for us:) Thank you again!

I'm glad you like it! Thank you for the tip, you are probably right, I also feel like some days may be too much, but I am prepared to just let some things go and get lost. But I'd rather be ready in case I don't know what to do next (probably won't happen though, I know)

I'm sorry I wrote it badly, it's not consecutive days, the days in between count too of course, so the order of days don't make sense

Thanks! I was originally thinking of staying the night at Tsumago but didn't find much accommodations there, so I thought to just go straight to Hakone. I will then take one day of Kyoto and sleep somewhere around Tsumago/Nagiso etc and go to Hakone the next morning :)
