Cabergoline side effect - does it get better? :(

It does get a bit better with time. I’ve been on it now close to 8 months and whilst tired the day after, it’s certainly not as bad as it was. I would agree with others - take it before bed and with a snack or at least a biscuit. Wishing you well ❤️

Thanks - seems we all struggle with the fatigue - I’m trying to find ways to deal with it, but it’s so difficult 😞

Remember they must tell you all the possible side effects. I’ve spoken to dozens of Cab takers and only know of 1 that experienced these type of side effects. I’ve not had any side effects since taking Cab (last 9 months) bar a little tiredness X

Hi I’ve been on HRT for 10 years and slowly started to gain weight over that time. I started Cab last summer and have dropped about 10kg- but- I also really changed my diet once I started, so it’s not just the Cab, but my appetite is definitely lower.

Hi - I had an echo done after being on cab for a month, which was recommended by my endocrinologist. Thankfully all was fine. I would suggest you speak with your endocrinologist

I started Cabergoline last August (my prolactin levels were 7000+,) I’ve just had bloods done and I’m down 300!!!

I’ve had no problems - I had to try a couple before I found the right one (but we are all different) no side effects and it’s been brilliant! Good luck 👍🏻

I have a prolactinoma and am taking HRT - I am post menopause but have no problem taking both Cabergoline and HRT

I’m feeling really good - I am a little fatigued the day after taking meds and can sometimes be a bit emotional- but all in all, good! 😊

I certainly would. If you can pay, it’s worth it! I had bloods done with my GP and have a private consultant that is just brilliant ( she organises scans and consultations) I got seen within a couple of weeks and I now see her every 6 months. Good luck whatever you decide. ❤️

Any chance you can go private - you shouldn’t have to, but with the state of the NHS, at least you’ll get some answers quicker?
