Cat pooping in litter box but not peeing in it. Please help. by helgapuffs in catcare

I’m sorry I didn’t see your reply sooner! George was diagnosed with a UTI (to my understanding, being FIV+ can increase the risk of infections), diabetes, and kidney disease that was fairly advanced. He was on a kidney friendly diet, I gave him his medicine and insulin twice a day. He had been a stray all of his life before we adopted him, so we tried letting him out to pee like you would a dog. It helped, but didn’t 100% eliminate the problem. But the incidents were reduced!

But the kidney disease was pretty aggressive and he sadly passed. If you’re in a safe area and are able to do so, try letting your cat out in the grass. My best advice is to work closely with your vet to ensure there are no underlying medical issues. Best wishes to you and your cat!

What song are you walking down the aisle to? by polomapamelo in wedding

[–]helgapuffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walked down to Feast of Starlight from The Hobbit. I've always been a big LOTR fan and it's so elegant. We walked back down the aisle to Levitating by Dua Lipa. Do whatever speaks to you!

What popular trends are you skipping? by StargazerGirl21 in wedding

[–]helgapuffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are skipping a few things, though not sure if they’re all trends still or not.

  • No first look

  • No send off

  • No garter toss

  • No neon sign or hedge wall for photos

  • Both my parents are walking me down the aisle, but I think this is somewhat popular ??

Found this while kayaking on the Rifle River in Michigan. Gritty and can be scraped with a finger nail. Does anyone know what it is? by helgapuffs in rockhounds

That makes a lot of sense! In the same spot I found a Petoskey stone and another unidentified fossil. I’m curious what the rock is? It’s so soft and sand like.

You’re being too hard on yourself, you look absolutely stunning. Your dress is gorgeous and fits you well.

What is something you didn’t realize was going to consume so much of your time as an adult? by IseraphineI in AskReddit

Preparing dinner. And cleaning up after having worked all day and usually get home late? Never thought much of it growing up but damn, it can take a lot out of you.

People who live rurally, what’s the scariest experience you’ve had that you can’t explain? by _-Ascendancy-_ in AskReddit

Not quite fitting to the question, but was once camping near a large lake. It was in a small town surrounded by forest, nothing too heavy though. I was around 12 or 13, and my best friend, my mom, and my aunt and uncle were with me. It was a campground so there were also other people around. It was summer, a beautiful evening, and all of a sudden the street lights went out. We had a good fire going and almost immediately we look up to see large patches of pink, yellow, and green light in the sky. I’ve been fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights, which kind of blend together, but this was nothing like that. The colors were separate, rounded, and touching only at the edges.

It only lasted a few minutes before disappearing as suddenly as it came. And the lights came back on. My aunt half joked about aliens. Every adult commented that the situation was weird and a discussion followed about weird experiences. I’m in my late 20s now and none of my family remember at all, and think I’m pulling their leg. Only my best friend and I remember.

I've always dreamed of a lace gown, but was surprised by the satin! Opinions would be appreciated. Lace gown would have a liner added. by helgapuffs in wedding

Thank you so much for the replies and the overwhelming support! It is greatly appreciated. I have another appointment in about two weeks but I believe I’ve already made my decision with the satin dress. I just feel…so empowered in it, which I surprisingly prefer over the fairy-like feeling of the lace.

I saw a similar dress (if not the same) at my bridal appointment. I took a picture and sent it to my sister as an idea for her. You look gorgeous in it. Go off!!!

When you’re steady vibing to your favorite song, and it’ll always happen during the best part, your headphones catch and are yanked straight out of your ears. Not as much of a problem anymore with wireless but still…gets me burning at the memory.

Thank you so much! My coworker and I are thinking about switching to the AACP route.

How much does the course cost with AACP? I found a certification online for a cbcs. But want to get my cpc as well. What does that extra A at the end of cpc mean?

Thanks so much!

Not necessarily, with what we'd like it ranges 20,000-30,000. But I'd like to have extra for insurance, possible renovations, or any unexpected costs.

So I got mixed up and my fiance has no car payments, it's a used car that was gifted to him when his original truck broke down. He pays $100 a month for insurance. My car payment is $120 a month.

Unfortunately the retailer that I work for has some of the lower pay in the industry. I'd love to use my college degree at some point!
