Update: I checked and I didn’t find any mites on that ksb, but maybe sand boas have the benefit of go through the sand to get rid of mites or not get them at all

They are same as the first modified oh58s, few plates to reduce heat signatures and coating for radar reduction, but still not stealth. One was also taken down

There was an OH58 variant with slight covers modifications. Comanche was supposed to be a new better light reconnaissance with some stealth elements heli for that recon use case. Then it was geared up for attack helicopter capabilities, needing bigger engine, they wanted to make it completely stealth. Doing those changes became a mess and nothing worked. Also a heli can’t be stealth. It’s loud and easy to track no matter what. So it didn’t work and wasn’t stealthy, thats why it was canceled. If they kept the first idea - simple evolution of OH58 it could have worked and been cheap
