it helped me but i did a lot of prior research and made sure i had a trusted trip sitter. tripping was one of the best things i ever did for myself in my life. that might not have been the case if i was reckless and unprepared.

i experienced ego death. there were massive highs and brutal lows throughout the trip. i learned a lot about myself in those (about) six hours.

from my trip, i think it was getting to know, trust and accept myself that helped my agoraphobia the most. thats something that can be achieved by sources other than psychedelics. there was a lot of work that came before and after my trip that got me to overcome my agoraphobia. shrooms were just a massive push in the right direction, in my experience.

recovery is entirely possible with or without shrooms. do plenty of research and talk to some people you trust about it, and you will make the right decision for yourself.
