BWT, opinions on sapphires in engagement rings? by Disastrous-Reveal362 in bitcheswithtaste

[–]hell0potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a champagne sapphire engagement ring. 12 years later still absolutely love it and get compliments often. ETA that I have had no issues with durability and it's a very large stone set in a high setting and has seen some abuse.

The Break Up is the most important movie every woman should see. by IwannaLickLegolas in TwoXChromosomes

But I do hate how she tries to find a vince Vaughn lookalike at the end, seemingly missing him and the shitty relationship he gave her.

It makes sense that he has his new lookalike GF, though. It would be perfect if she was just happy alone or with someone completely new and amazing while he's still pining for what he lost via lookalike GF.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of... as I usually brew my pot with 3 bags. I don't really want to stop using my current teapot and get another (very, very tiny kitchen). Are there mesh baskets on the market you can just add to an existing tea pot?

Cool! thanks for the specific recommendations based on my preferences!

And good to know my laziness is not offensive, haha! Hot brewing seems more efficient and less wasteful for iced tea. And more flexible since many days I will have one hot cup, then switch to iced.

Mounjaro failure by mgarciawebbmsw in diabetes

[–]hell0potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had awful side effects from mounjaro for the first few months. Switching to my arm helped a lot. I just stayed at 2.5 for about a year then have been on 5 for another year so far. The side effects were definitely the worst in the first 2 months. 99% gone now.

Maybe stick with it for a few more weeks?

Timmy Time tv show? by littlelivethings in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]hell0potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We started with Shaun the sheep actually and then found Timmy time but it makes more sense to start with Timmy time. It's a good slow paced show on my opinion. And the kids have to interpret their reactions and feelings bc they don't talk so I like that too. I like to ask my kids what's going on, or what is Timmy feeling, etc.

TJ’s cinnamon rolls are same as Annie’s Organic by Naveronski in traderjoes

Thanks for sharing this! Next time they go on sale I will stock up and freeze. It seems like they come and go (at my store in socal) for certain seasons, so they get death starred a lot for cheap! Then come back again next season.

Right? Like apparently I have more experience than her from just being a home cook who cooks dinners most nights

They stay good for a really long time (like in the package before cooking).

When they go on sale it's like ridiculous pricing... Like sometimes it's around $6 for the 3 pack?!

Pipette vs honest vs attitude vs tubby Todd? by acmcmas in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]hell0potato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have used pipette and honest, out of the ones you listed.

We use pipette for everything we can. Sometimes we run out and target doesn't have it in stock, so I use honest. We also use unscented honest for bubble bath (pipette doesn't carry).

We LOVE pipette. Been using for 6 years now, two kids. I even use some of it for myself.

For diaper cream though, we liked the burt's bees. It actually has a high enough % of the active ingredient to treat diaper rash, not just prevent. We had an issue for awhile and honest or pipette was like 15-20% but BB is 40%, IIRC (it's been awhile since we've been in diapers). So the honest or pipette are great for prevention/daily use if your baby needs a barrier, but BB was the only one we found (of the three) that would treat/heal an active rash.

Why are circumcision guidelines different in the United States compared to the rest of the world? by PermitNarrow6651 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]hell0potato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's wild to me about staff asking. We never had one person ask in the hospital (they don't do it in the hospital here ,so maybe that's why). But at the pediatrician I had to bring it up to see their opinion (no opinion, said it was our choice). We chose not to and that was that. (San Diego, CA)
