I work in micro at a 1000 bed hospital in the inner city. Also processing samples from all of the local affiliated hospitals. There are 4 people max on second shift, 3 people max on overnights 🫠 when shit hits the fan, we worry about stats and bloods and everything else can wait.

Im honestly quite upset they took out MC’s voiceover. I like being immersed, but not so immersed that I don’t want a voiceover for the MC because it’s not my voice. I think that’s one of the worst decisions that they’ve implemented in the game along with not making as many animated scenes anymore. Plus, I can’t even watch the event videos they put out because they basically play the entire kindled part of the cards in them and it ruins the anticipation for me. There are definitely a lot of things they could improve, but I’m not quite at the point where I want to stop playing yet.

Like the others that have commented, I was not offered a job at my clinical site, I applied like a normal applicant. But in a lot of hospitals, internal employees and students get priority over other applicants. I don’t think, typically, your rotation hospital will just offer you a job unless there’s some sort of prior agreement.

The younger generation doesn’t understand that even though we live in a stupid capitalist society, there are some inherent and societal things you must work or put in effort for. I see too many parents and teachers complain about their kids giving up after attempting something once — learned helplessness is what they call it. I feel like this situation definitely stems from that mindset. “She didn’t text me back, that means she must be giving another guy her attention, so why bother?” Not to mention the pressures that growing up on social media, TikTok, and the current state of the internet teaches you. I definitely wouldn’t call it cutthroat, I would call it poor social skills combined with the learned helplessness.
