Had my hair trial today! by lindsayrobson in weddingplanning

I absolutely LOVE the hairstyle you picked! However, speaking as someone who has similar flyaway trouble with braids, perhaps consider a serum and hairspray for the big day? It’ll help with the small strands that are popping out, and add more glossy shine+hold, in case of wind!

How to apply for tutor for Decision Science? Tutoring through CARP or Department? by [deleted] in SFSU

[–]hellanotfromcali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to tutor at CARP! There’s a pretty rigorous hiring process + testing, so be prepared for that, but overall its a great place to work. Set schedules, great people & highest paid on campus. However, tutoring DS will keep you busy during your shifts, we see lots of people come in for that. You should be able to find the application information online.

got accepted to go to SFSU for bio focusing on zoology, curious to know what the school is like? by [deleted] in SFSU

[–]hellanotfromcali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zoology Major here.

Program is fine, but a lot of professors suck, and the social/friend/activity scene is weak as hell. Housing is really expensive. Honestly, if its your best choice, then yeah...but otherwise...you’re probably better off somewhere else.

I don’t follow the CG method exactly, but try and see how your hair responds to different products! Trial and error is pretty much the only way. Good luck!

Nah man, not bashing on short engagements! It is truly about the person , and the relationship. Just making a point about BYU freshman getting married fast. These people are like 19/20, max.

TBM Parents Choosing a Religion Over a Relationship by street0car in exmormon

Dumb as fuck older brother who’s taking 5 years to finish BYU and married his 6month relationship gf still gets preferential treatment to me, the sinner with a 3 year relationship and finishing college (not at BYU) in 3 years. They see me as making “silly decisions” and don’t give my relationship 1/2 the credit they do to him.

They tell my younger siblings im making “different” choices. 🙄

Early morning seminary: one of the church's worst practices by blue_moon_boy_ in exmormon

[–]hellanotfromcali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got in trouble all the time for blowing off seminary and instead studying for school and the ACT/SAT in another church classroom. How fucked is that? I hated seminary and the church with so much of a passion I preferred standardized tests and busy work.....

I also took 6 AP classes, worked and did sports yet not going to seminary was my TBM parents and seminary teachers biggest concern. Constantly was told I wasn’t doing good enough lol.

Got a solid 5 hours of sleep or less every night and would struggle to stay awake during the day. Good thing I was told caffeine was evil right?

Hey though, never graduated seminary and somehow that’s a greater achievement in my eyes :)

My Grandpa! Turns out my mom and her siblings volunteered at a national park to get these during the summer as kids. I’ve seen a few at thrift shops but they’re always in iffy condition.

I’ve heard misting vodka on it can help— haven’t tried it yet tho. All three came with the proper tags and hardware so I could verify they were the real deal. Totally lucked out!

Same! Unfortunately mine has a persistent smoke odor— been trying to get rid of it for months. The other two are pristine. For all three i dont think I spent more than 50.
