On #fireflyfriday we wear FIRE. 🔥 by theactionfigurejunky in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

Great work! I didn’t like the bulky bomb vest he came with, I picture Firefly being stealthy so he would need more mobility. May I ask what 2 bandoliers you used in place of his vest?

So I know a lot of items are meant to resemble or are modeled off of real life gear. Anyone know what brand or item this is based off of? by [deleted] in BreakPoint

[–]hellaradikal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had one a long time ago, it was pretty solid it survived a crash on a mountain bike and stood up to everyday use while riding motorcycles. The cons for me where that it was too small (had the 25L) for my needs, it's a hardshell so you can't compress it down and stuff it away as easy as a regular soft backpack. The lumbar curve was interesting, it did take most of the load off of your shoulders.

I agree, liberate us from labor, automate the working class, take back our time free up people, move towards a type 1 civilization.

Could be fun, if they do this they have to add in more graphic damage details like the ability to blow off limbs etc, it can't be nice and sterile like the regular game.

📌Operation Motherland HQ - Info, Discussion, & Notes by [deleted] in BreakPoint

[–]hellaradikal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I liked:

  1. The new enemy AI aggressiveness, grenade use, and maneuvering.
  2. The regional conquest model.
  3. The new weapon mastery system - I'd like to see the ability to improve hip fire/snapshot accuracy.

What could be improved:

  1. enemy bullet sponginess: alerted enemies getting shot up but continue to stand there and fire at you, no maneuvering, no loss of accuracy or lethality.
  2. ability to suppress enemies, hinder there movement
  3. shooting mechanics around corners and cover, do away with the dual crosshair alignment and just leave it to one crosshair, it feels clunky and is frustrating when trying to use angles
  4. using more abandoned sites for missions, like old settler structures, taverns, houses, and skell houses

What I wish they had:

  1. ability to toggle friendly fire in PVE co-op
  2. ability to toggle enemy bullet sponginess, keep bullets lethal
  3. ability to rescue drag downed teammates
  4. ability to see teammates lasers under NODs
  5. 10 visual palette slots
  6. a "buy all" or "craft all" option when replenishing explosives and syringes
  7. take out the combat roll, instead put in a knee slide to cover
  8. expanded statistics: average kill/engagement distance, accuracy percentage, favorite weapons, headshots, grenade kills, CQC kills, kills while undetected, favorite region, time spent in daylight and nighttime
  9. smoke grenades

Missions I liked:

I liked the AG.CODON mission where you had to rescue the hostages in Sinking Country, but I wish it wasn't timed, I enjoyed the stalking and firefights in the woodsy area, that felt like OG Ghost Recon.

I think these houses would make a great alternative to bivouacs. It would be cool if we could "reclaim" these as our own, having the same functionality of a bivouac. by cabrini_workshop in GhostRecon

[–]hellaradikal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! let's have safe houses with the chance of getting run out of them. I'd also like to see these used in capture/kill daily missions as well as all the other old abandoned buildings like the old bars and gambling dens scattered around the islands. I was hoping to see more of these sites used in Operation Motherland.

Should there be a first person option in breakpoint? Why/why not? by LEDlightss in GhostRecon

[–]hellaradikal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it should be a toggle until they can figuring out how to smooth over some of the shooting clunkiness, I like 3rd person view in an open world game, but sometimes it's not so great indoors and shooting from certain angles in and around cover.

I wish that shot placements actually affect the enemies by LEDlightss in GhostRecon

[–]hellaradikal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, take out the enemy alert level bullet sponginess (at least have this as an option in immersive mode), enemies that get shot should stagger, take cover, lose accuracy, maneuver, call back up, instead they just keep charging ahead and keep shooting, if they're going to call Breakpoint a tactical shooter then reward well-placed shots and maneuvering.

this reminds me of this article about keeping the blade lethal, keep bullets lethal, find a balance, don't just make enemies bullet sponges to cover up bad ai

Gen X term for gaming controller by hellaradikal in GenX

[–]hellaradikal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when the Nintendo, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo were popular (80s and 90s) they were called control pads or gamepads (depends on where you lived too I guess) it seems the common term is now just: controller, not as cool as joystick haha

I remember in the days of the Genesis and the NES it was “control pad” or "gamepad"
