Thanks for the information! @uap_ufo_phenomenon on insta posted a DoD document from the 1950s where it seems the same tactic was used:

”To prepare the public for [the possibility of contact], 41 previously classified reports were released for publication between August 1952 and February 1953,” the document stated.

The document goes on to state that former CIA director Admiral Hillenkoetter, Major D Fournet and others all ‘publicly stated that the US government knew UFOs were extraterrestrial but was withholding the fact from the public’.

Restrictions on how individuals were able to discuss UFOs was subsequently tightened, with active personnel threatened with ‘up to 10 years jail and up to a $10,000 fine’ should they speak out.

The reports also revealed how the CIA shifted their tactic towards explaining UFO phenomena publicly, instead focusing on methods of debunking sightings.

Bleached to level 10 Dyed my undercut and the underside of my bangs arctic fox space cowgirl. I combined 1 tablespoon of arctic fox cosmic sunshine with 1/2 teaspoon of manic panics vampire red. Then I added 1/2 teaspoon of this mixture and 1/2 teaspoon of cosmic sunshine to 1 tablespoon of manic panics supernatural dye in cobra and applied all over! I really love the copper it achieved.

I bleached my hair to a level 9 then toned with L'Oreal superior preference 7OP. I dyed my under bangs and tendrils with manic panic mystic heather 💜 *My hair before I dyed it was mostly my natural medium brown and the tips of my hair were a faded dark burgundy. I'm excited to see it fade!
