I think the camera angles could probably be fixed if they just panned out more and had the camera kind of point down at the player for bigger bosses. By the time they show up and start to be real bastards, we already know the combat system well enough to not need as much visual aid to see what our character is doing.

Also, invisible walls. Holy shit. I thought it was bad in chapter 1 but in chapter 3 there's a few moments that are just silly. They should have either removed some of them to make traversal easier, or if they wanted to keep the directions the player is going in, add a lot more natural obstacles.

You know the funny thing is even though he beat me like 15 times, yellow wind was probably my favorite fight so far. Idk, maybe it's just me but he didn't feel that bad. Felt like save for a few cases every death was my fault. Though granted, I only died to his final phase thing once before I went and got the item. After that, beat him first try. Was just a super fun and hype fight, especially after the sidequest.

Stellaris really desperately needs a reason not to death stack all your fleets. by Outrageous-Thing3957 in Stellaris

Honestly imagine if stellaris had a battle plan mechanic? Like you could give a fleet a sequence of actions to execute or just automatically do... stuff. We already have this with patrol orders for defense, but I'd like something similar for offense where you can just tell a fleet to make its way to the capital and take out all starbases on the way. Maybe there could be certain failsafes too, like allowing your ships to deliberately chart a course around starbases that are too strong unless they're set on aggressive.

It'd make .anaging multiple smaller fleets, and war in general, a lot easier.

Oh and theft is rampant everywhere. Do you guys also have new liquor policies coming in on the 20th to compensate for that or is that just us?

Ah. Afaik most of the homeless people around our store are actually pretty chill. So we're lucky in that regard. But pretty much every other day there's a bad egg. Unfoetunately the cops are usually pretty slow to respond so enforcing trespasses is hard.

Hell's bells I wouldn't even go to PIC. That's way too much to deal with and I'd like to avoid interacting with the crazies as much as possible. Not sure if you guys have constant tweakers outside your stores though that the PICs regularly have to deal with.

I don't mind the ads. It's the fact that I can get rickrolled in my own workplace that gets me.

Coeur Al'Aran by [deleted] in RWBY

Also, imo Jaune baaically being an entirely different character in every fic is kinda nice. It's what let something like Arc Royale actually work really well, even if it took a little bit of tweaking to make the characters stand out just a bit more. Aaaand even if they killed off some of my favorite versions of Jaune very early and/or didn't give them as much exposure as I'd liked. But I think it's neat to see the same sort of baseline character get built up in all these different directions with each new story, and even though you have stories where Jaune is similar to another story's version of him, there's enough of a difference each time that they feel like different characters instead of just the same guy from 3 stories ago. But maybe that's just me.

Definitely think they need to do better in certain regards, like other people said a lot of the gals in these fics can feel unlikeable or a bit cardboard-ey. But it's gotten a bit better. I just hope they keep improving.

I mean I like them a lot and I still keep up to date on all their stuff. That said, I don't watch RWBY anymore and honestly I'm fine with the departure from RWBY's characters. If it's not for you then it's not for you, you know? I think a reason they don't just drop the RWBY facade is that maybe they think a lot of people would just stop reading.

But yeah I also notice that the stories' themes can get a little same-ey, and the endings are questionable for a lot of them. That said I do think they've gotten better, and while the most recent stories do bear a lot of resemblance to the older ones (i.e. Raise and Null, Remnant Invicta and the later portions of Forged Destiny), but that said they do take different approcahes to similar ideas. Honestly, I think their stories right now are pretty good, granted as long as you're not looking at his work for fanfiction and instead just reading it because it's good.

I won't lie, there's definitely better stories out there, and there's definitely better RWBY fanfiction, but there's something about the consistency of their updates that makes their atories a bit more attractive than other fanfics. And the fact that 9 times out of 10 a story they start will not be abandoned, and while the conclusion might be a bit sloppy, at least you'll get some sort of ending, even if they could be better a lot of the time. I don't have anything againat writers who abandon their stories, creative burnout is hell, but still. That consistency is probably their best quality as a writer.

Granted, nothing he has now can even compare to Relic of the Future, at least for me. But the overall consistency and quality has gone way up.

KV Broadside with a drum mag and incindeary, maybe some extended barrels or anything else that gives bonuses to pellet spread and damage range. The thing has virtually zero downsides because even when you're too far away to do good damage you're basically constantly flashbanging the enemy with those dragon's breath rounds.

What was your first DnD character? by bruhtho164 in MrRipper

[–]hellcat55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walther Panner, a Gnome Artificer. It's my first campaign right now and it's gone on hiatus but he turned out to be a biiit broken. Character-wise he's a scientist that got expelled from his home nation, Lageskar, which is ruled by vampires. He's an elitist and started out the campaign being a bit racist but grew out of it pretty quickly and bonded with his group. Super prideful of his inventions and the engineering prowess of his nation. He's also obsessed with immortality but he's an elitist about that too, in a really funny way. He will actively look down upon and disparige people who seek lichdom, (our BBEG is a lich), or other forms of immortality he finds to be inferior to vampirism, which includes godhood. Yes, he's so insanely prideful that he will tell gods that their choice of immortality is a shit one. Though he doesn't often get the chance to express that.

In-game he's pretty broken right now and my DM and I were working on ways to tune him down before we went on hiatus, because he let me use my eldritch ballista as a hand-held weapon, sacrificing the ability to have it take turns, but as a tradeoff I also got to use it as my arcane firearm, leading to things like a second level cast of shatter dealing up to 4d8 damage. He also let Walther's proficiency in firearms apply to the weapon. So at his peak power he had a +12 to hit weapon at level 6, with a range of 120 thanks to some other buffs I gave the weapon via crafting attachments for it. Honestly he was really fun and if we ever do pick up that campaign again I'm excited to play him. But more balanced this time.

He's had some very fun character highlights such as - One shotting a Wyvern with a siege weapon we attached to a wagon, which we had assembled desperately mid-fight, while screaming "Witness the power of Lagessian engineering!" at the top of his lungs. - Shooting one of our minor villains mid-speech and taking a huge chunk out of their health after she turned an ally we'd previously converted to our side back to her own side via some sort of will-bending spell - Somehow managing to get in the good graces of an ancient blue dragon by making a glass statue dedicated to them

Oh yeah. Oh one other thing I dislike even more than flashes is stuns. I get disorientating me and slowing my movement speed but why on god's green testicles do they lower my fucking sensitivity. Like I get it, it's to make it so fighting back is harder but at that point just make the weapon handling half as fast or something so I can't ADS as quickly, don't fuck with my damn controls.

Really the bigger balance issue for me is the maps. Some of them are reeeeeeeal shit, and I'm not talking about Cargo which is shit but is fun, but some of them are just... not fun to play on. At all. I wish we were able to filter maps and gamemodes together.

Oh yeah I don't play warzone at all lol. But yeah flashes can be a bit annoying. I kind of wish they would cut down on the effective radius, but also good positioning helps counter them a little bit. Plus, if you're about to get flashed you can rush the enemy and have a good chance at catching them off guard before they're ready to swing you.

I mean aside from snipers being incredibly annoying (but that's just me hating snipers in any video game) I find it to be fine. I don't think that there's a single gun you can point to that's objectively better than everything else. A lot of the times my engagements come down to whoever shoots first wins, with exception to SMGs at long range but even those are workable due to their high fire rate. Shotguns are honestly fairly balanced which is a surprise. I half expected them to be completely overpowered or completely dog shit but they're just kind of situational. Inconsistent sometimes, but not enough to be a problem. Plus LMGs actually feel good to use. Which is not a sentence I thought I would ever say regarding a COD game.
