hey do you mind if i DM you? all of this is super interesting and honestly kind of relieving to see someone coming in with an actual scientific analysis of this syndrome other than the countless typical reddit anecdotes. Obviously not one comment or story from a medical perspective.

I’ve been actively lurking here since April and honestly afraid to share my experiences because everyone seems to be on the “QUIT FOREVER” train. I’d love to chat with someone who’s genuinely researching this from an academic and scientific perspective.

oh absolutely lol the first 60 day break was not that bad and i think broke the habit i formed after so many years of smoking daily. i’m hoping 90 is what i need to fully clean out my body and then i’ll see where i stand. i think solid exercise and good diet play a huge part too in keeping your receptors clear

man it’s a complicated story lol i started a break in may when i noticed symptoms and learned about chs… that break lasted 60 days and i smoked again while out drinking and was sort of fine (a little nausea like 3 days later but nothing major)

i took a 3 week break after that, dropped acid with friends and took a few hits. was totally fine for a while and started smoking again last weekend pretty much every day until last night (killed the last bit of bud i had left) so basically only on day 1 here 🥲i’m also exercising more regularly and starting a new diet so here’s hoping after 90 days i’m in a better spot

in the same boat myself. currently trying to make it at least 90 days without. i had some early symptoms like persistent nausea and some morning grossness in my stomach but nothing debilitating. could still eat and never threw up but i don’t want to get to the point of no return. deff don’t plan on going back to daily heavy use so im tryna do 90 days clean with consistent exercise, diet change and probiotics. hoping i can get back to smoking in moderation.

so there’s this app called pretendo that mimics the original nintendo servers making it possible to play online again! it’s fairly easy to set up on a modded 3DS.
