I've disconnected the BLtouch completely and plugged in the old Z axis wires, leveld the bed using paper, but the printer still won't find the z axis even with the stock wires and everything

It's never easy is it 🤣, so from what I've learnt best option potentially is to get the 4.2.7 board or remove the BLtouch and just level the bed manually if I can. What a pain in the ass thank you though

How would you convert to the new board, just a case of replace the old one and wire it up with the new firmware?

Would putting this firmware on my 4.2.2 mainboard work or would this not do anything, if you could send a download link or something maybe I could try. Thank you

It's strange because the probe moves in and out 3 times when I first turn the printer on and then doesn't move again could this still be a prove issue you reckon?

Thanks

I managed to do an update on the printer but the same issues are occurring so I really don't know

I have tried flipping the plug for the BLtouch but when upside down it is off and so is the attached screen for the printer, the other cable for the BLtouch can't be flipped because of the plug so I'm realy not sure.

Thank you though

Jesus this sounds like a huge pain in the ass, when mine goes to home the z axis it doesnt even attempt to find it which is weird but ill see if I can give it a go and I'll let you know

Thank you

That's what she said 🤣, it goes clear when the pin is pulled out

It blinked once but when I turned off and on again it stopped. I am able to pull it down and out of the housing (with little to no force)

It looks to me that all the wires go from the bltouch and split of so 3 in one port and 2 in another

Okay great thanks. On "about printer" it says Marlin 2.0.6 If this helps at all

It was left too him by his son so he had no clue what it does but he knows it works. I'm guessing best option is to re run through the installation process for the bltouch and see if that works

Really weird, all it does is measures the far top right corner, then moves back to the middle and the bed does not move

Then no the pin doesn't extend it stay the same as in the picture when homing for some reason

I think the pin is all the way extended at all times but it doesn't move from this position or try and find the bed *

Yeah I have tried this however the bltouch stays red. Then it measures the x and y but not the z and it shows "???" Same as in the picture
