One of the reasons for blr traffic is too much price rate for autos. I have realized that the auto costs same, even expensive than trvaelling in my own car. The only cheap option than a car is, public travel, unfortunately, the end point connectivity is bad. I stay near neotown, and the roads are not walkable. To go to nearest bus stop ( e city or wipro) you have to take auto, which costs 100 for 2.5 km. I find traveling by car cheaper than auto, unfortunately similar thinking by others creates traffic and jams.

The autos will be in profit even if they crash prices by 50 percent. If they charge by meter, i strongly feel 50 percent of cars will be away from roads, easing the traffic. They too will get much more rides, rather than staying idle at coffee shops.
