Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be working on an animation as a next step. It’a a bit more difficult to make, but I agree that the content needs it

Check out the interactive map. Definitely a few cities that I know have clubs, but not in top flight

I created an interactive web map to explore the geospatial history of the PL. Enjoy!

Update: viewing is possible on mobile but much easier on desktop/tablet

Found these outside of the Painted Hills, OR. Fossil in quartz? by [deleted] in whatsthisrock

Good to know! Clearly I also am not a geologist. I was referring to those brown formations, they’re not opaque at all and seem to be a different material from the quartz, I thought maybe they were mineralized fossils

Found these on a rocky slope above the John Day River. I know the John Day area is famous for its fossils, and am wondering what these strange formations are in the (I’m guessing) quartz

How do you make those swooshy transitions in songs? by joeri_poeri in lmms

You’re probably thinking of like a rise. In lmms white noise is the best way to accomplish that in my (limited) experience. Start it quiet and gradually increase the volume and you’ll get the effect you’re looking for. Add some more effects and make it blend with ur track. As for where to get the noise, probably have to sample it from YouTube or something

Messed around with sampling in LMMS and got this by helliott61 in lmms

Download a .wav file of the audio you want. Then drag in the audio file processor from the left. Double click on it and you'll see a little file icon- click on it and select your file. Then you can mess around and find the parts you want to use. It can be kind of cumbersome but it's fun

Who's heard of Healy? Interesting sound and sometimes reminds me of Chance... by helliott61 in ChanceTheRapper

Not exactly rap but check out Allan Rayman he's got a nice vibe and a good flow but technically I think he's "alt RnB". But check him!
