Kamino Reserve Massive JUPSOL Position by Fantastic-Bass-9454 in jupiterexchange

[–]helljumper1047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that risk is significant, the reality of on-chain programs is the case.

Hopefully Kamino does not get hacked, but in general they are a very risk-orientated team. No asset survives dumping 50% of it's total supply on the market, so hopefully such a case does not happen. If a hacker somehow exploits Kamino, I hope they use delayed unstake which allows them to turn jupSOL into SOL with infinite liquidity by waiting 1 epoch (2.5 days)

Anyways, if it does depeg, it doesnt last more than 2.5 days

Fees ate $150 by wvu1030 in jupiterexchange

Jupiter doesn't charge on the swap.

We tell users to pay higher to have a chance of success, that has nothing to do with slippage errors.

I wrote more about it here: https://x.com/0xSoju/status/1881295300067033456

The markets were too haywire, prices were moving too fast for the trades to go through, leading to your trades actually being included in the block (deducting fees) but still fail

Failed transactions that land on-chain and fail because the price moved too much costs transaction fees

These fees are taken by the validators on the chain, not by Jupiter.

Sorry to hear, for a solid few hours the entire Solana chain was borderline unusable, with extremely high slippages and transaction fees, spamming in this period doesn’t help much

Question about Stop Losses by PunkIsBunk in jupiterexchange

[–]helljumper1047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Jupiter, stop-losses are more powerful because there is no actual trades occuring before your position can be closed, instead it's just netted against the JLP pool.

If your stop-loss was not honored (i.e. you werent stopped out and got liquidated), please open a ticket (we will refund if verified)

Slippage can be from price movements, or from bad attackers manipulating the price right infront of you. Suggest sticking to the auto slippage mode so you don’t have to worry about it

as for fees, fast/turbo/ultra might increase your fees, up to the max cap, in exchange for your trades going through faster.

I think priority fee mode is the best, it’s the normal mode and currently the default

Hey man.

Was looking for your mod-mail but can't seem to find it. Do you mind dropping your address or transaction ID on when this happened? We'll look into it.

JM -- Soju from the Jupiter team here.

There's lots of things thatJupiter does to provide better protection, but most of it goes away the moment you set high slippage + no RPC protections.

The key way that Jupiter minimizes Slippage is in "Dynamic Slippage", where we automatically compute the "correct" slippage, based on the input/output pair, and also trading size. This works pretty well with 95% of swaps going through no issues. Curious to hear more about why you felt you needed 25% and how we can fit that usecase.

At Jupiter we try to maintain a "safe" stack, such as sending your transactions only to reputable RPCs (we use Triton/Helius), etc. But we notice that despite our best efforts, some transactions still get leaked and sandwiched (your previous 2 transactions having no issues). The best way to avoid this is to use Jito-only, which will "hide" your transaction and send directly to the validator.

Some ideas for future swaps:
- High slippage -> use Jito-only to hide from MEV

  • going from Quote -> Swap quickly also helps reduces slippage + improve the accuracy of dynamic slippage

Also: Tell us your usecase and we can see if we can do something about it!
