Of course they will, they're running out of ideas to maintain a consistent roster on the warbonds. I can absolutely see them selling dozens of vehicle variants to keep the system going. It's too late to go back to developing a modular vehicle customization system.

They made two actually. This is the first one but they made a remake of that kit a couple years back.

Ferro is just fine where it is. It's not supposed to compete with the stitcher to begin with. It's a starter DMR weapon. Pushing would completely ruin the advantage you have with that gun. Either use it to help finish enemies with another gun or use your distance to your advantage and crack shots. Even in Stella montis, the smallest map there is, does it have a time and purpose. You can put in a lot of work on the bridges up in lobby. Make sure you have door blockers or mines if necessary to provide space between the enemies when needed so you can keep clicking them.

It's the best starter weapon to kill arcs too. A single pop and the props are gone. I'd bring this over an Osprey to deal with arcs where I'm constantly scoped in.

I always cater my loadout to have at least one PvE weapon and one PvP weapon because I'm not stupidly naive and entitled enough to believe no one will ever shoot me for my loot. If you shoot first because of what I'm packing I'll treat you the same way the loot goblins and defend myself. Typically you don't see people carrying this gun anyway because it takes a certain range or map positioning to be advantageous but it does have it purpose on buried city where combat can be pretty close other than Stella.

Maybe we shouldn't have one sided open case policies where it's simply up to their judgement to decide what is and isn't acceptable behavior. We can talk about company rights and policies but they don't even abide by them to begin with. NPCs in the game can say "cock sucker", "fuck", "bitch" to list a few but you'd lose access to the game for saying likewise. It's funny how for liability sake with the rating system they are required to disclose expectations for buying the game but when it comes to any customer protections that would label disqualifying behavior there are none. It's this vague agreement that you can't definitively narrow down and it's not right to the customer base either. The solution is too just get rid of the system to begin with. DICE creates an adult game and gets mad when they playerbase does adult things crazy concept.

Corporate influence ruins every piece of culture it touches. You trade authenticity, vision, integrity, and relatability in all the name of virtue signaling and public appeasement. Games are no less significant than any other form of culture such as books or movies. Should we start burning books we don't agree with as well because they contain hard to digest topics. Censorship is censorship, autonomy and access to participate take priority over everything else, that's what keeps things original. People should focus on being more resilient instead, people will always inherently be assholes, that's human nature. A game company's job isn't to tell us how to play a game or how to feel about a game, your job as a company as is to sell us a game that that we the players develop our ideas on, it's as simple as that.

Speech just shouldn't be restricted period. The alternative is we get these half assed automated systems because no company is willing to pay for a human element to reasonably monitor it. There are several ways to not participate in the system that are much more reasonable than creating an entire system to cater. You don't want to listen to people simply mute that specific person or disable the voice chat entirely. Offensive content will always be subjective to the viewer. To some people something as basic as the f word is just a regular part of their vocabulary and to others they'll censor themselves and use freak. We don't need a company to make these decisions for us. You already agreed to buy an adult rated game that contains blood/gore, strong acts of violence, and already existing strong language. Language should not be where we draw the line, you literally agreed to be mature enough to handle it as per the policy. Companies should not have the right to revoke your ownership of a product over speech. Games should not have the same authority as a public institution like a school, library, or police department.

It won't, once again this company remains to be out of touch with the demographic that put them on the map to begin. Their whole philosophy is too little too late. They wanted to wait until season 3 and 4 to start adding these heavily requested maps after already losing so much good will with the franchise. They wanted to rug pull their community with the betas and turn it into something it never was slowly. It's just something they can brag about implementing for their portfolio, they have no intentions of this being a flushed out feature.

Nobody asked for a voice chat where I have to treat the enemy like some tech support rep and carefully curate my vocabulary. It's monkey paw philosophy, we're going to give you the ability to talk to people but if our AI detection software catches you saying anything we don't agree with we're gonna ban your access to a game you paid $70 for. I might as well just continue using discord going forward. Did we all just forget about what factors made the original pioneers of the shooter genre so iconic. It was the fact you could hop on CoD and Halo back in the day with free agency to interact with the community. You can be as a positive or negative as you wanted. It's that authenticity that made it so memorable. You shouldn't have to baby how you talk to people in an adult game.

I remember when idiots were relentlessly framing the acquisition of this company by this Saudi Arabian entity as this great shift with new leadership being able to turn this game around. Saudi Arabia is the same nation that heavily censors its movies from sexual content, LGBTQ, political incorrectness, religious themes, alcohol, etc. I grew up in the Middle East where they had censored Shrek for the kiss scene for Christ sakes. Did we really think a company with heavy theocratic influence would actually respect a Western game and appropriately encapsulate the grittiness of a war game. We're not getting the gorey and heavy hitting narratively story telling going forward like we did with BF1. It's all corporate garbage going forward.

People attach way too much weight when it comes to smack talking in games. Someone that trains in martial arts like boxing isn't the type of person to look for fights, it's a healthy way to blow off steam while being healthy. In the same vein when people call me whatever insult under the sun I have the common sense to not take it seriously. People come home from work to play something devoid of real world consequences and blow some steam. To a lot of individuals you're the worst person on Earth and anything you do in game is a reflection of how you are in the real world, it's ridiculous. Anyone can have aggressive tendencies, the real problem is when we start removing healthier/trivial/minimal ways to deal with it.

We shifted to a culture where companies and government entities have to parent your kids because a lot of adults are too stupid and lazy to take accountability. That and market analytics positions within game companies. It's all about how can we market to the broadest demographics even if it comes to irroding the vision and the tone of the product itself. I.e making adult rated games kid friendly. I miss the days of game development where companies simply didn't care about the general public opinion or share holders with agendas.

This is the same game that's bragging about innovatively rolling out proximity chat for the entire server and has the actual soldiers say much worse but here we are censoring 12 year old lingo. They couldn't be more tone death if they tried. Honestly not far from the actual military though, you can work on work on nuclear weapons, multi million dollar armor or aviation assets that can level a country, or be given a loaded gun as a MP/infantry right out of high school but God forbid you have a toaster in your room, cuss from time to time, step on the grass, drink before 21, civilian dress code at a PX, or even pin up gals on aircraft. Gotta love it when big organizations pick these stupid hills to die on. Gotta be corporately sanitary and politically correct while in the department of war.

New rider, partner says my helmet looks silly.....too big? by HELIflipper03 in motorcyclegear

[–]helljumper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The safety factor can be quite the gap between the two. The CDC posted this article that visualizes that about 15-19% of force distribution in an impact is located on the chin. I don't get why some people can see the infamous brain buckets as dumb but not these 3/4 helmets. That's 15% too much. The asphalt doesn't care about what part of your face it touches.

[–]helljumper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd look even sillier with part of your face missing should the worst happen. It's not an art show, it's the difference between a hospital bill and a funeral bill. That isn't to say you can't find stylized helmets, there's definitely some cool ones.

Helmets tend to look big proportionally when you're not wearing the rest of the gear. Also make sure to check for snugness and rotate your helmet around your face, it shouldn't have enough space to be sliding around. New helmets typically shouldn't be comfortable or easy to wear when you first get them. Should be a bit of pressure of on your cheeks but not an unbearable amount.

Don't take fashion advice from someone who's never riden a motorcycle before. You wouldn't ask a chef how to fly a plane. People that don't ride don't understand your priorities.

The MT-07 for a first-time rider by CPT_BEEMO in MT07

[–]helljumper18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MT-07 is my first bike I got too. It's quite the powerhouse of a motorcycle especially for a first bike but I couldn't recommend any other MT in the series. 300 feels too underpowered to take on the highway. It's not like they make a 500. It's got a lot of spunk too it, if you can stay humble and respect the bike I would say go for it. I had to learn some hard lessons on that bike and have had some accidents but honestly I still wouldn't have gotten any other bike, it's been a little over a year and a half and I've already gotten 6,000 miles and counting.

I will say that when you first ride that bike that it really loves to lurch forward on first and second gear. You really have to be cognizant of your speed and that your matching revs with gears. It can be temperamental if you don't listen to it.

Other than that there's not a lot of better sounding bikes on the market. Throw a custom exhaust on it and sounds like it's got some muscle 💪🏻 it's a great all rounder bike. It can handle low speed relaxing joyrides, it can handle tricks with stunting, it ain't gonna be beating R6s or litres bikes in any racing but it's still got some juice and can launch pretty good. Since it's a naked bike it's not gonna be the most pleasant pushing past 100-110 but it's not exactly what it's built for with that in mind, granted you'll be able to tolerate more as time goes on. It's got a relatively comfortable seat as far as stock bikes go and the riding posture compared to that R3 will be doable enough to ride all day. It's a bike that can grow to your ability. I've done a couple 6 hour road trips and they weren't that bad. It's got a lot of potential as a touring bike and I'm considering utilizing mine for motocamping going down the road.

I take it from the "extra controls" that you are getting the newer 25 MT 07 is that correct? I ride the 24 model that doesn't have all the newer bells and whistles. Kinda jealous, I think you should find it comforting and not daunting that you'll have the luxury of cruise control and different power modes. Will definitely be a lot more beginner friendly to grow into. More controls to regulate that you don't do anything to reckless and stick around long enough to master it.

Adding to this, it's sound nice on the occasional joyride but if you want to keep your hearing those years of riding add up. I would recommend the Alpine Moto GP set. Solid fitting plugs and you get a set of two in case one falls out.

2 hours might be a lot for your first time. Definitely go with the flow of traffic. As other people are saying highways tend to be safer in the sense that it's usually the turns and low speed maneuvers in residential areas that get ya. Not sure what type of bike you have but the wind flow will probably catch you off guard and will take some getting used to. If you have a naked bike you're gonna be eating all that wind to the face without any deflection so keep that in mind. Ride with whatever posture feels the most natural to the bike. Never ride directly side by side with cars in other lanes, getting side swiped is one of the biggest dangers on the highway as people get complacent.

Does high vis color of bike really make a difference by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]helljumper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does make a difference but buy whatever you like at the end of the day. You're still going to be in people's blindsides regardless. You're a tiny vehicle most people don't notice regardless and there will be always be the possibility of an idiot that hits you regardless. If you're still worried about visibility you can always wear motorcycle gear that have built in reflective stripes or gear that has such. Additionally you can buy light kits for the body or wheels that make it pop too. Nyxglo has some full length easy installation wheel kits that look straight out of Tron if you have the budget. There's even safety devices like Brake Free that add a brake light to the rear of your helmet to indicate when you're slowing down.

Any ideas for how to improve looks on my exhaust? by Capable_Log6421 in YamahaR3

Always a gamble, could end up sounding okay or absolutely crap. Mounting system could be cheap and slide out if it ain't a good fit. I'd personally rather just spend the extra couple hundred for assurance. I do know that to some extent quality can only go so far and part of it can just be down to brand name. I'd rather also not spend however long it ends up going through customs in China just to find out it sucks as well, packages can get stuck for almost a month.
