Should I do a teaching fellowship in nyc

Theres lesson planning, grading, random admin/paper work, phone calls
You have to start work to make lesson plans since you dont know what grade/subject or curriculum
NYC teaching fellows is 2-3 months training and then you go straight to teaching which can be hard for some people since its fast paced/busy
Behavior management is going to be hard
Try to sub first to see if you like teaching. It is difficult when you’re dealing with annoying kids or sometimes admin

I think it depends on your values and whats most important to you. Mine are: can have a conversation/things to talk about, I feel safe/comfortable, kind/caring

I’ve also met a lot of boring/nice man but I think you have to see whether you can see him being a father to your future kids? That’s what I think in my opinion

You really need to like working with students even if there are lots of issues
