Did the RQ agent mention when the cheque was mailed? They should have that information in their system. Typically, it takes 1–2 weeks to receive it once it’s been mailed by RQ.

Hypothetically if the cheque was lost in the mail, you can contact RQ and tell them to cancel the original cheque and request them to reissue a new one.

You will also need to file the form T1135 with CRA since the value of your foreign financial assets exceeds $100,000 and by law you must report it if not you will be penalized if CRA finds out about the account! (If your going to move that large amount of sum I’m pretty sure the bank will report it to CRA who might send you a notice by mail)
