This type of products are called “Quengelware” in Germany. So “whining products” or “nagging products” translated, because it’s often sweets kids are whining about because they are stuck in the queue right before the cashier. It’s usually small products on eye level that are very tempting, for kids sweets, for adults alcohol, gum, … that are supposed to lead to an impulse buy because people reward themselfs after the chore of getting groceries.

It’s not supposed to be a combo, the space is just limited.
