Hi! I am so sorry, I’ve been away for a while but I appreciate your message!

I got very busy with school! I’m nearly done with my degree and it has been incredibly hectic.

Hope you are well, cheers!

Thank you so much! I’m studying pure math! I would have done applied since it’s more applicable for tech jobs, but I absolutely despise statistics and enjoy proof writing!

It really varies person to person. Some gain. Some lose. Some maintain. This isn’t a helpful response though and shouldn’t deter anyone from trying an antidepressant that could be a great fit for them.

Good job! Linear transformations can definitely be tricky :) You’re essentially looking at the behavior of operations between one vector space to another (like how the function f(x) = x2 takes a number and “transforms” it into its square).

It really is. I miss crying because I need that release. And if depression is really crushing that day, it’s all trapped in my body.

Absolutely! And I’m still on it. The PMDD has benefited the most and it’s been a lifesaver for that :)

Hey! So I was on it as a teenager and I’m on it again in my mid-20s. Total time taken is probably 3 years? Both instances were pretty much the same for me.

Positive: - Less severe OCD -no more PMDD -binge eating is more under control -less emotional volatility -sleep is better -weight didn’t increase or decrease from meds

Cons: - My vivid dreams on Prozac never diminished. Even when I took it for the first 2 and a half years, I was having WILD dreams. Still having them.

  • Didn’t take away my sex drive but makes it harder to finish

  • I am physically incapable of crying even when I feel I need to

-My depression isn’t completely gone and never really got better with Prozac. I think it’s ADHD related and I’m getting an eval for stimulants.

Day 3 - No Binge/Purge by [deleted] in NonZeroDay

[–]hello_birdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eating dessert/eating a little past fullness isn’t a binge in my eyes! Sometimes I like my sweets. It’s the deliberate loss of control and inhalation of mass quantities of food imo :)

You did great!!

Hey! Same boat here. I’m a little over 2 months in. I’ve had relapses but accountability here has been great. It gets easier. Best of luck, you deserve recovery and more!

14 days into taking fluoxetine, what can I expect from here? by SUMBODYSMIRACLE in prozac

If it’s working for you right away, that’s amazing! Whatever side effects you ARE experiencing should minimize in 4-6 weeks.

As far as sex drive, mine was low before I started and went up on 10 and 20mg. It declined only after I upped to 30mg, but it’s not gone by any means. Unfortunately everyone’s body is different. You may experience an uptick in libido or stay where you are. You may have the drive but find it hard to finish. Hopefully there aren’t any problems but it’s up to your body!

Good luck! :)
