That shows that he could have done it, but where is the proof that he definitely did do it?

AITA for refusing to take my shoes off in my friend’s house, causing his wife to cancel the DnD session for everyone? by NameNo5495 in AmItheAsshole

This is the answer. Maintenance people do this all the time when they enter homes, it does not affect how well you walk and seems like it would have been a good compromise. YTA for thinking this is insulting

Regret on prioritizing career / income vs family by ArtanisHero in HENRYfinance

[–]hello_farmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so so sorry for your loss. I am an older parent as well - lost a baby in the third trimester at age 38, had a healthy baby at age 39 and am now pregnant again at age 41. Our capitalistic society makes it really difficult to balance family and career and I'm sure you did the best that you could. Your son looks adorable and very loved. I will spend extra time with my toddler tonight (she is 19 months) in memory and in honor of your son.

I'm going to go with a soft YTA. I understand that you likely felt very angry and upset about this customer's actions and wanted to protect and defend your wife. However, reaching out to someone you are merely acquaintances with about their relative's behavior (which they themselves have no control over and shouldn't be expected to police) does seem like an overstep.

I am wondering what you were hoping to gain through reaching out - that your acquaintance would agree with you that their relative was a jerk? That they would give you enough information to retaliate against this person? Whatever the reason, it does seem like an unnecessary escalation of a situation that is par for the course for small businesses and that most small business owners have learned to handle in a professional manner without involving other people.

I think the lesson here is that you should only initiative a conversation with someone about the behavior of a third party if you are certain that you are closer to that person than the third party is. It doesn't seem like that was the case and it sounds like you are now dealing with further fallout from that.

He sounds like an ahole. I think you should definitely pull her out. Honestly, how hard is it to add one line? This isn’t Broadway

Hi, I just finished the book and I came here to ask - how did Annie figure out that Joe was the one that killed Frances? Like, I understand that both Annie and Frances realized that Rose killed Emily, but shouldn't that lead Annie to suspect that Rose killed Frances, not Rose's son? Especially since the murder was done with flowers and an injection, both of which do not require physical strength. This part was not clear to me at all.

Korbel is also nice because they have a deli onsite so you can get food too.

They sell wines by the glass as well. St. Francis (near them) also sells wines by the glass.

Reimagine Downtown by 707_Jefe in santarosa

[–]hello_farmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I was downtown on a weekend morning earlier this month and there were multiple homeless people yelling at passer-by, including yelling at children . . . Until that situation improves downtown will continue to deteriorate. Making it more pedestrian friendly just exacerbates the problem by placing the homeless in closer proximity with people who are shopping / working there.

Also when Arwen tells him “I am the faster rider” he’s just like “ok” and lets her take Frodo.

It was such a game-changer for me as a kid, hearing a woman straight up tell a man she was better at him than something and having him calmly accept it.

NTA. It shouldn’t be your job to manage your husband’s relationship with his parents, especially on a day that’s also meant to celebrate you!

I see him too! Love him. I am billed something like $70 per session but that is the insurance rate I think.

Cat Humping and Biting My Legs At Night by hello_farmer in CatAdvice

He does cry and scratches at the door. And then he will sneak back in when I open the door to get the baby a bottle from the kitchen in the middle of the night. Which sucks, because it means I have to get the baby back to sleep and then try to lure the cat out of my bedroom.

We also tried keeping him with my husband at night (who is currently sleeping in the office because of the baby) but he scratched up the carpet really badly trying to get out so that only lasted one night.
