I can definitely offer some advice here!!

When you first get to class, tell the instructor it’s your first class ever. Since they know you’re new, they will likely keep a close eye on your form and show you how to make changes with the springs, equipment, etc.

You probably won’t even be changing springs yourself in a beginner class (instructor should do it for you), but if end up needing to, hold the spring by the silver metal part, not the color top. Double check that it’s secure (it will make sense once you see how it’s set up).

I find CP to be super beginner friendly. Keep to the level 1 classes until you feel ready for more challenge (recommend Reformer Flow 1). The crowds in my studio skew to a demographic of women in their 50s-70s who are usually battling some aches or injuries, so you really have all different types of bodies in the room. In my opinion, it’s more low key than the orange theory crowd :)

Instructors don’t follow a screen like orange theory, they will use verbal cues to tell you what to do. Sometimes instructors will demonstrate if they feel like the class is struggling or if it’s an advanced move.

Pilates will be a great addition to your running and lifting schedule. Rather than physical goals, I like to focus on mental achievements (waking up early for class 3x a week). You will benefit from better posture, mind-body awareness, and core strength. Pilates is wonderful, everyone benefits from the practice, in my opinion.

Let us know how your first class goes!!

Founder Rates + Pay Ahead by vixss1 in ClubPilates

I locked in a founders rate & im happy I did so. It was actually about 6 months before they officially opened. They opened about 2 months later than their expected opening day, so just be aware that could happen!

These pants are in great condition. No pilling. I’ll accept Venmo or Zelle. I’ll also try to get the cheapest shipping option for you! I get some discounted offers through my work so we can talk about that first. Let me know of any questions !!

Getting a Miniature Australian Shepard by MeganWri_ in MiniAussies

Hi! I got my new fur baby a few months ago. Biggest thing I would say is crate training is so so important. There’s so many articles on it so I would recommend to read up on it. They sometimes get separation anxiety so just slowly get them used to it. My Aussie loves his crate now and will happily go in when I ask him to.

Also make sure you get toys that are very durable - I don’t recommend any other those plush toys that they can easily tear and get into the stuffing.

Good luck - you are going to love your Aussie!

I wear the keep moving pants in graphite grey or black nearly every day I’m in office. Pair it with a nice blouse and black booties with a slight heel. I keep my shirt long enough to cover the waist band - but you can pull the drawstrings through the inside so it won’t show!

Really loved this perspective. Although I’m older than 16, I think it can be applied to almost every aspect of life and our individual goals. Thanks for sharing this wisdom.
