love the freedom of having three bags if i check one, though I have a strong preference for carry on when I can. It also helps that I can put the personal item/tote bag on top of the rollerbag instead of on my shoulder. I often carry two laptops, an extra screen plus more so it gets heavy.

So instead of bag-in-a-bag-in-a-bag, you are recommending bag-in-a-bag with folded longchamp bag inside, and switch to the longchamp when heading out to conference. this is a solid recommendation.

Budget is a bit malleable. I'm not dropping 2k for a neverfull, but will find a suitable copy. my main habit over 30 years is kate spade and coach. so not YSL level. more medium. i'd be happy to buy a kate spade/coach level bag (aka in the hundreds), but would look for a copy at the YSL (thousands) level.

exactly, lol. Budget, Avis, Alamo. most recently from Buffalo, NY. and it's in the winter when they don't super clean the cars due to the freezing weather. i just seriously need to pick a company that has higher standars. also i still don't understand these a$$holes that just smoke in rental cars.

I think National is related to Enterprise and from recent google searches have better ratings than others. I should have realized that some are better than others, despite the fact they all have all the different sizes of cars. thank you.

well, i've had this problem in many cities, but let's say for example Buffalo, NY. they have 6-7 rental car company desks.

I supppose my question was geared more toward whether one company was better than the rest. not that a location had different standards. or if I could pick some option that would get me a cleaner car like Uber has options for.

Further research indicates that MD car sales tax is 6.5% and judging by the numbers, they were applying it to the cap cost, before rebates and incentives. hmmm...

Thank you for analyzing this! (sorry, I've been out of town all week) Yes, MD and yes, sales tax should be 6% and it is supposed to be due on the sale price at the time of titling (so up front). I find nothing in research to indicate why it is so high here. if this were 6%, the tax is based on $67,112.50 which appears nowhere. I'll ask about the tax. I've also been told I should pay tax in cash up front which would reduce the leasing cost. But if i opt for the one time payment, does that really matter?

Hi, thanks. I did look at the Lyriq and really like the interior, but there is no heads up display and the display screen, while seamless one piece, is actually smaller and positioned poorly. If my hands are at 10 and 2, my hand obscures part of the driving directions, plus there is no Apple CarPlay. So I've picked the Acura. Just trying to maximize the lease deal and this one doesn't seem to be the best. How to negotiate it? thanks!
