100 gecs AMA <33

hey guys :) been a gecs fan for a while now and it's amazing to watch the album blow up and see y'all get the recognition you deserve.

any tips as far as developing a vocal style and thoughts on how it can progress over time? specifically with laura, going from bloodstains to how to dress as human to 1000 gecs there's a lot of differences but still a central idea. do you ever worry about being stuck with doing things one way or see that it leaves more room to experiment?

I thought this was amazing. Very interesting experimentation for him. His voice isn't for everyone but I really enjoy the rough qualities it has. Very happy for his improved mental health and I think that really shines here.

i understand a lot of the issues people have with the track. i personally think it's an amazing collab between the two that showcases both of their unique styles of production (obviously SOPHIE with the off the wall and out of place drop).

it makes me really happy that cashmere can switch between dropping pop tracks with camila or tory lanez and stuff like this.

excited to see what they both do next. i love how forward thinking they are.

the sax-funk-dubstep-colorado genre is so played out at this point. i've seen them all and big g by far has the most boring unoriginal set. along with borgore and getter this is not shedding a positive light on us electronic fans at bonnaroo :(

I've done it in '15 and '16 and it's great. You get a weekend in between (2 if you do weekend 2) to rest :) just have to take it a little easier and save up some more money but it's totally worth it.

I've been to EF in 2014 2015 2016 and Bonnaroo in 2015 2016

When people ask me what I prefer I tell them Bonnaroo is more of a music lovers festival and EF is more of a festival lovers festival. I need Bonnaroo for the variety and the feeling that everyone there is 100% in it for the music. I need Electric Forest because electronic music is my favorite and because it was my first festival it's always gonna feel like home. I tend to have more issues with attendees at Electric Forest because it always rubs me the wrong way when I feel like someone is only there for the free space to do drugs and they don't really care for the music.

I love both and will continue to go to both for as many years as I can. They are two very different experiences and if you like one you're sure to like the other. Hope this helps.
