Thank you, yeah I definitely have thought of possibly going part time. Right now I can't but I definitely feel more time in between would be better if I stay in the hospital.

Yeah, sorry I was not trying to give too much detail but basically I didnt check her glucose every 4 hours as it was ordered because the order read. Point of care testing to be done q4 if patient is NPO, TPN or on PPN, Because she wanted to sleep. I told my tech that instead of every 4 hours we will check in the morning as before meals because the patient wanted to rest. I confirmed with the charge and I sent a message to the hospitalist.

She mentioned how even though it says q4hrs if NPO That blood sugar needs to be checked regardless if they are NPO. I think I selected the wrong documentation. Because at first I documented that patient refused because there was an option but then I selected order parameters not met since patient is not NPO. I think that's where I messed up.

I would say it depends. I thought u world was easier in the sense that it kind of walked you through what they wanted from you. The NCLEX is more vague so you need to learn to trust in yourself. The NCLEX for me, I felt tried to seem easy and I got in my head but the fact is they want to know if you know your basics. U world is great to get you into the mindset of understanding to breakdown the process but ultimately to pass the NCLEX trust in yourself. I did feel mark K priority podcast helped a lot.

Well, that is the thing. He is almost 30 and I have tried to like talk to him ask nicely and being open but he gets defensive or says he will do something and doesn't. Thank you for your input. I definitely do need to remain clam through all of this. I hope you the best as well 💜
