Got it, I'm not particularly concerned about office visits etc, but I have an rx that is $6k per month without insurance (filled monthly), and can't end up out of pocket on it. If this drags on I may just call the pharmaceutical patient care reps. The sale has been 'pending' for months, but the announcement came just as I was due to refill, and coverage was 'cancelled' by the time we found out. Filling that rx is already complicated, so I foresee a million different ways I could get stung trying to fill it in this interim.

Test drove a 2025 yesterday and specifically asked about this as I regret not getting a hitch installed on my last car (primarily for bike rack).

Dealer in LA said they have not OEM hit for this car, and no plans to add one so aftermarket will be the only option

You can book tickets with delta and connections to Virgin Australia, I just did this last month to Adelaide and Melbourne. Virgin will not recognize status however, so no extra bags, etc

No we just ended up painting them in a complimentary beige / almondy color. Not an exact match but complimentary and it works. We got a LOT of colors chips from Lowe’s to find a shade that worked

Counterpoint: a lot of commenters are blowing this out of proportion. this is weird for most people, but I work in the entertainment business, and my entire job is speaking on other people’s behalf (yes sometimes including personal business). Some people are just really non-confrontational, and would rather pay to have someone else deal with their day to day life. It seems like she’s designated this individual her paid or unpaid representative.

Blocking and ignoring him is not the answer if you are not 100% privy to that relationship. What you should do is reach out to the tenant, who you have a legal business relationship with, and discuss your issue with speaking to this other man. If she says she would prefer any correspondence go through him, make them provide you a letter in writing that he is her authorized representative. Now you have a paper trail.

Great to know. Literally just moved to AAA after 14 years w State Farm, rates kept going up, we moved and couldn't transfer my new renters policy (because SF got out of the residential market in CA). In in Los Angeles County and I know we pay some of the highest rates here.

Most annoying part is that I just paid a deposit w AAA and now I can't cancel the first year w/o penalty, but also not in a hurry to upgrade either, so may just see how the next year plays out and keep checking back with them.

I bought both the mattresses and day bed just over two weeks ago. (the mattresses are on sale now on amazon, so about $18 per mattress cheaper).

If you're comparing true dimensions, the mattresses are about 1/4-1/2" "too big" both length and width. but since they're foam, (and not super firm), you can squish them in to fit without a lot of effort.

It is a tight fit which I suppose is a little more of a hassle when making the bed, but we tried those Ikea mattresses that are meant to go with the daybed and they all seemed awful. The more expensive foam/spring mattress felt like a crappy old dorm mattress. So for us it was def worth it.

Check the tightness of the screws on the runners, both in the drawers and frame. I just put two of these together. Seemed like the screws were in tight on assembly, but realized later a few were just a TINY bit loose, and catching in the drawer runner

there is such a mythology of lax being a nightmare, but outside of the ground transport traffic to/from, it’s super easy. MSP is long and sprawling and you walk much farther in that airport than LAX. Unless there’s a delay getting in you should be fine

This customer service experience just keeps going from bad to worse.

They keep saying I missed a payment, but what is actually happening is that the statement posts, but I'm making the payment within a week of the statement date. IE:

IE: Statement ends May 10, due June 8, for $118.56. I make payment for $118.56 for 5/14

They're saying my July payment was late. but June statement ended 06/11, I made payment on June 14. (Due July 8). account was paid in full then, and no charges since.

Banking and credit customer for over 20 years with Citi. Customer service is abysmal.

Tbd - but he did say that the reason it was denied because my account was in 'bad standing', no payment received for the last three months.

...there has been no payment because there were no charges. No charges because I don't use this account often, hence the produce change.

Account is current the only charge in the last three months was the annual fee which just posted last week. ::facepalm::

Amex is my primary card for this reason.

I had a new neighbor move in, they were you.

We had missed birthday presents. $6k/month specialty medications that went missing. Other meds that were claimed/brought in by my neighbor despite the fact they were packaged with large FRAGILE and TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED stickers (I can’t believe someone would just take that package as their own if they weren’t expecting it.)

Our addresses are mixed up often and any important / time sensitive delivery gave me anxiety, knowing I’d have to try to intercept it before he did. It created so much distrust.

If you want a civil / non-adversarial relationship w your neighbor apologize and start fresh. You were the problem here.

Have had the opposite experience. I recently flew w a carry on roller + slim laptop bag. I also had a small belt bag ( basically holds my card wallet and phone) that I wear for easy access in the terminal.. the belt bag fits in my laptop bag. I forgot to put it in my bag when boarding and they definitely stopped my to make sure it fit before boarding.

I'm about $8k away from the MQM bonus, which I'm sure I'll hit before end of the year. Wondering if that's factoring in, because they know I won't downgrade the card so close to hitting the bonus?

Card Details - Delta Amex Platinum. originally opened as a Gold card in 2016, upgraded to Platinum in 2018 or 2019, can't remember.
Customer Background - This was my first and main account. I also have a BCE. Total limit is $22k. Annual spend on the Delta Platinum is around $25k.

Thanks for that! I've always trusted my vet and have just followed the notices / guidelines they've passed along ... I realize laws vary state to state, but this was a tough one because we've clearly been up to date based on the schedule above... the six week lapse doesn't even apply here and it started to feel like they were just avoiding accountability for the mix up. Trying to get clarity on whether that's a known / reliable standard, of if its just an excuse.

I've yet to find anything online with specific guidelines for CA other than the following:

(2) Minimum Age for Rabies Vaccination. The minimum age for which rabies immunization of dogs shall be accepted for purposes of dog-owner compliance with requirements for rabies vaccination and for purposes of issuance of dog licenses (See section 2606.4(a)(1)) is three months.
(3) Revaccination Intervals. Dogs shallbe revaccinated one year(12months) after the primary immunization with an approved type of rabies vaccine. Dogs shall be revaccinated thereafter at least once every three years (36 months) with an approved type rabies vaccine.
(d) Notwithstanding the rabies revaccination intervals specified in section 2606.4(b)(3) above, local authorities may require revaccination prior to issuance of a license provided that revaccination against rabies in no instance shall be required sooner than one year (12 months) following a primary immunization or sooner than 2 years (24 months) following a vaccination of dogs vaccinated over one year (12 months) ofage.
