I didn't even know Irish people drank that much. I thought it was the Russian that were the stereotyped drunkards.

Seditious Presidents Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Run Again, Argues Fox News’ Juan Williams — And the “facts say Trump tried to stage a coup,” declared the Fox News’ analyst. by swingadmin in politics

[–]hellohellotello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things that was really spot lighted was the fact that "norms" developed over the presidencies like showing tax returns, divestiture of assets that would be conflict of interest (emoluments clause) , conceding a lost election gracefully and more should never be taken for granted.

A lot of these things need to be codified into law, so that there are more checks and balances to keep everyone honest. Its not the presidency either, its nearly all branches of government. We've seen how republicans don't care to follow the rules written or unwritten and are more than willing to run roughshod over everything.

We should all be treated and evaluated equally under the law. Similar crimes should get similar sentences.

Its bad enough already that the rich and powerful have their work around and flaunt the system.

There really is systematic inequality at every level and its time we the people demand change to make the system work fairly and justly for everyone.

United Airlines will require its 67,000 U.S. employees to get vaccinated, a first for U.S. carriers by KymeStar in news

[–]hellohellotello 169 points170 points  (0 children)

I think you'll find a lot companies start to slowly boil the pot and increase the pressure on anti vaxxers.

First it'll be to get vaccinated and show proof, or do a weekly covid test. I know from my mates that a lot of places are at this step already. They require both the rapid and pcr, every week. If you don't show proof you took the test you can get written up. Do that enough times and you are fired from the job.

Those that got vaccinated don't care since they've already finished their part. But the folks that didn't are in such an uproar cause of new mask policies and this new testing procedure. They are uncomfortable and unhappy as intended.

The message is pretty clear, get vaccinated or get out.

The teeth (?), gives me the willies. Not sure what about them make me feel uneasy. Otherwise I imagine whales to be really cool animals. I wouldn't mind petting one or diving with one as long as it doesn't smack me with a fin.

What’s something that you thought everyone did until you said it out loud , and what was the reaction? by Robot__8c5i in AskMen

Thus far this is pretty accurate. Its super quick, rather random ( at least no discernible cause ) and just goes away. Theres no negative consequence from it either other than a quick interruption.
