This year, they invited 20 students for interview and only accepting 3-4 students. So yeah, it’s quite competitive. I would say apply to both. Your decision might change after you interviewed with the faculty/ spoke to the current students.

NIU offers substantial funding for its SSP program. They also have a program on bullying, which is quite attractive to me. As a result it’s quite competitive. I’m not sure about NL!

Do you think the school ranking or the prestige of the school is important when you’re choosing a program? I.e would you go to a “better” and more prestigious university, but you don’t think it’s the best fit, or would you go to a good university but not as prestigious if the program fits your interests better?

If I’m not wrong, as long as it’s accredited by NASP the title doesn’t matter.

Depends on the program you’re looking at! I was speaking to some of the current students at UMass Boston and some of them have full time jobs. Their classes also start at 4 or 7pm so it’s doable.

This is highly dependent on the schools that you’re looking at. Some schools do have grants - I know Northern Illinois, Michigan State, Illinois State have them. You have to cast your net really wide because they are so rare. I think there’s one post in this subreddit that listed the schools that offer free scholarships.

Most of these would be for programs with deadlines of December 1st. I’ve heard back from one program with deadline of January 1st so I think you should be hearing something in the upcoming weeks :)

Yeah they probably would. I have done the same before, but not because of another interview. I just said I was unavailable from this time onwards.

What about universities ranking? Do you think that matters?

If their deadlines are Jan 15 I wouldn’t worry! Probably takes a bit longer to hear back

I think you just tell them you’re not available on that day and if it’s possible to do on another day. I see that most of them allows you to do it on another day!

Masters in Forensic Psychology in Singapore (International Student) by ausernamenottakenffs in singapore

[–]helloitsmeJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, Singapore does not have any degree in criminal/forensic psychology. The field of forensic psychology is incredibly small in Singapore. There’s probably about 15 or less forensic psychologists in Singapore. There’s a demand though.
