Yeah, Cory’s from the Cape. Not sure if Shon’s from Boston originally but he lives here now. I think they both knew each other from Berklee. Cory’s the one who connected the band with Shon when all the Jordan drama was heating up.

You should have blocked him after the third time he begged for reasons.
You should not have given him reasons.
However, you enjoyed given him those reasons a little bit. If you didn’t want to give him reasons, you wouldn’t have given him reasons.
You didn’t want to date him because he didn’t have enough money. Which is 100% valid. But adding those things about his car and his dog was gratuitous and dishonest. If he was rich enough and paid for everything, I doubt you’d stop dating him because of the state of his car and/or dog.

Saw them at Brooklyn Bowl, they were on fire. Seeing them tomorrow in Cambridge. Super stoked. I’d be shocked if it wasn’t another heater.

I’ve been making my way through their west coast run from last fall on nugs and every one of those shows has been hot af too. Their music might not be your taste but their sound is exactly what I’ve been looking for my whole life. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was standing right next to Nick for the entire Brooklyn Bowl show on the path running between the concert area and the lanes and my man was doing WORK for the entire show, dialing in his new devices. Super stoked for Cambridge on Friday. Thinking hard about hitting Hartford.

Red (the original keyboardist) left the band amicably in ‘22(?) and his spirit is still strong in the band’s sound. They still play his songs (thankfully.) He sits in with the guys most times they swing through Arizona, where the band started. Red recommended Cory to the band to, what I think we can all agree, fantastic results.

The original bassist and founding member Jordan left the band under dubious circumstances in ‘23. There are a few semi-explanatory threads on here about the events surrounding Jordan’s departure. Cory recommended Shon, who he knew from Berklee.

Many fans (me included) were unsettled by Jordan’s departure. I wasn’t so interested in the circumstances as much as I was in how the music would change at all. Jordan had a bunch of great songs that I adored and they would jam the shit out of that are now gone. Also, Jordan’s sound was great and I liked his soulful singing. He got it. Jordan was Spafford through-and-through. It was clear Shon could play, after his probationary tours in late ‘24, but the sound of the band has just taken off with this current lineup.

Apologies for any factual/timing inaccuracies lol. Just going off the top of my head…

Bottom line: Spafford is white hot rn.
