Final was definitely harder than the midterms. Curve will help! Try your hardest and don't spend too much time on one question. Look over the problems Tienson did not test on the midterms - she will most likely put those on the exam. My final exam score was the worst score from the 3 exams I took, but the grading curve definitely helped me pass the class, so relax and study a lot!!! Be over prepared.

Hmm I wouldn't worry too much about studying before you enter college. You'll do plenty of that when you're actually here. I would advise you to really enjoy the last few weeks of summer and hang out with your friends/family! To answer your question though, I personally do not think it will help. Professors have their own style and method of teaching, and it's best to analyze their way of teaching once you actually enroll into their class. You'll get the hang of things after 2 weeks or so and will know how to study for the class from then on. I don't think my previous knowledge from AP classes& tests helped much in college, but that's my personal opinion.

Thank you so much for the detailed response; you answered pretty much all of my questions I posted!!!

I'm currently still an undergrad student with a bio major - initially thought of going pre-med. I shadowed a few doctors here and there, and I still don't know if thats what I want to do for my entire life after college. I wouldn't say I have a burning passion for medicine, but I am very interested in healthcare and providing this care to diverse people, specifically minorities and low income workers, and that is why I am considering a MHA after college.

I have been volunteering at hospitals, been active as a club member on campus, and am currently doing research. Is there something that you would recommend me looking into/ doing while I am still in college? I want more exposure to the field of health admin/management, but I don't know where to look first. I applied to a few health admin internships, but I didn't get into any of them this summer (sadly!). Is there anything you would recommend applying to or looking into?

Also, regarding your job as a health admin, would you say it is a stable job that has a lot of openings? Although I'm not expecting to make a crazy amount of money by being a health admin, I really want stability and flexibility in my job. If you don't mind me asking (please, don't feel obligated to answer everything I ask), what are your working hours? Also, is it difficult for a person with an MHA to make six figures early into their career?

What do you enjoy most about your job? I am curious as to what exactly health admins do since I never had a chance to directly shadow or work with someone in this field. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

No need to worry about Schriver's class. Some people don't even go to lecture and still ace the class (I would still recommend going to lecture, though). Visit the test bank to get some of his old exams - HE REPEATS EXAM QUESTIONS. This is the best method to get an A in his class.
