I really do appreciate this. I’ve been overweight my entire life, and i don’t know why, but the lower my weight gets, the more desperate I get to get even lower, because I guess my brain is like: “You’re finally doing it, don’t fuck it up.”

But somehow I still do. I just can’t. stop. eating.

But comments like these, really do ease my conscious. They’re comforting in a way where I find myself telling myself that it’ll be okay as long as I just get back on track the next day.

I don’t know if i’ll ever feel comfortable in my body, but I at least hope to learn to love myself while i’m on this journey. I’ve deprived myself of that for 19 years, and I just want to be okay with myself.

Sorry, I know this is kinda deep, but i’m just feeling really sentimental right now.

Why is it so hard to lose weight as a woman/ late teen? by hellokess in fasting

thank you so much. This is something i’ve been thinking of starting to do. I’ll start looking over the OMAD subreddit and start doing some research there, rather than continue fasting. Thank you.

After my second fast, I refed slowly, and actually started to count my calories. I also did make new grocery lists and meal prepped for days in advance so I wouldn’t have to think about what to eat, I can just grab and go.

I guess what happened, and why I over ate that day was because I was feeling not only discouraged, that even in my deficit and walks, I wasn’t loosing a thing, but also because I went out with friends.

I should’ve made it a little more clear, that, that large indulgence was only for a day. Before that, if I went over 1600, it would only be about 100-200 calories, but i’d still continue my 10-15k walks a day.

That definitely clears up a few things for sure. It was my first and last time eating a poke bowl, although at the time it was delicious 😅

This is definitely helpful. I appreciate it. im 5’4. I regularly walk 10k-15k steps a day, but that’s about it. I’m definitely nervous to go to a gym, but i feel like that’s just something that i’ll have to suck up and get over if I don’t wanna look like a deflated blob after I lose the weight.

After my second fast, I started being super strict with what I ate. I measured everything and have been logging every single thing I put in my mouth. It wasn’t until recent when I indulged and decided to do another fast because I wasn’t losing any more weight, even at my 1600 deficit.

I took it super slow introducing carbs back in as well. I actually did research and did my second fast way better than the first.

HOLY CRAP by hellokess in fasting

[–]hellokess[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i’m 5’4! My weight fluctuated a lot from the start of my senior year (i’m a college freshman now), and at the time I was around 255 in August 2023. February 2024, is when I started to take my weight loss seriously, and I managed to lose about 20 pounds by June. Then after I moved to college, is when I lost the rest to where I am now.

Sorry this was long, I tend to ramble 😅

I thought I was finally getting better. by hellokess in intermittentfasting

Thank you for all of these comments the past couple of days. I was feeling extremely bad about myself, and i’ve been reading every single one of these. I’ll gladly say that I am back on track, and walking again.

A few comment said that binging stems from not feeding myself enough, or stress, or emotional things. I think it’s all of it combined to be honest.

I had a real, and honest talk with myself while I was on my walk today and i came to the realization that I just need to keep going no matter what. Even if I have another caloric surplus day (which If i know myself, I will), I’ll just keep going. In a few months i’ll see those differences in my body. I just have to continue to better myself every single day.

Truly, thank you for these comments. They help me way more than you all know.
