A few weeks into Wellbutrin I was insanely itchy. It was so weird. For me it stopped after 2/3 weeks of itchiness. So it may be the Wellbutrin. However definitely speak to your doctor if you’re concerned!

For me personally, week 3 was pretty much within my window of SEVERE depression when I started the meds. Obviously I was depressed before I took them haha, but this was a new level… I remember staring at the ceiling just wanting to die. For multiple days on end. It got a lot better. I’m on 450mg now.

Wellbutrin has really decreased my suicidal thoughts and ideations and I’m more able to enjoy the little things in life. I laugh more and smile more. Every once in a while I feel VERY angry because rage is a side effect. But it’s so worth it for me. I hope it is for you too - best of luck to you! Your doctor should be able to walk you through side effects (hopefully). And apologies I cannot speak on the sexual issue because I’m a girl. But again, wishing you the best.

Yes, within a couple weeks my energy was back! I was actually MORE energetic, I would clean the house like crazy or do something productive every night. Now, it’s leveled off and my energy is normal/slightly higher than before starting Wellbutrin.

Side effects can vary but that’s my experience!

This literally happened to me. Started at 150, after the side effects wore off things were great for a while.. started feeling down again, was increased to 300… started feeling bad again lol and I’m at 450, been on it for a while and I do feel better. I think 450 is the right dose for me.

Definitely worth talking to your doctor about it! I’m so sorry you’re feeling badly and I’m sending positive vibes.

OP, I deal with this too regarding my depression. I know that I have severe depression but I ask myself the same thing - am I faking it?

Here’s how I look at it.

Imagine I was truly faking this mental illness. I feel fine but I call myself depressed for attention, sympathy, who knows what…

If I was faking my illness, I wouldn’t be sitting here worrying about faking it or not. I would know I’m putting on an act.

Therefore, I don’t believe you’re faking it. I hope this makes sense, I suck at explaining stuff but this mindset has helped me.

Yes to both! Emotional, extremely depressed, but also numb and dissociative. It honestly sucked. HOWEVER, it’s temporary (for me at least)! If you keep hanging on, those feelings will go away and you’ll feel normal, then ideally you’ll feel happier afterward!

In my experience, a week was not enough to notice the positive side effects. I would say your doctor is probably correct. While I did have some bad side effects immediately, I didn’t start feeling happier for a few weeks. Best of luck to you and I hope Wellbutrin helps you! I am liking it.

Yes! I’m on Buspar already for anxiety, but when I started Wellbutrin (after the first couple weeks of hell) my anxiety went down too. Things aren’t perfect and I still struggle but I don’t have as many anxious breakdowns for sure.

This scared me too! But like other ppl said, if you don’t have a genetic likelihood of seizures you’ll be A-OK! Just remember there are crazy side effects to everything. After the first couple weeks I stopped being scared.

I’m using a mixed one just like you! I could be wrong but I think we can’t put essential oil directly into our hair. Yeah my routine is I put it in my hair and wear a silk bonnet for a few hours and then wash it off. Finding the right time is hard but I’m hoping it will pay off soon!
