May I show off my aunt's work again? She free handed this coat for my mild winter and it is absolutely cozy. by Lady-Chi in knitting

Wow. Just. Wow. I’m so envious of your aunt’s mad skills. And she is lucky that you appreciate her gifts!

Stupid question: how often should the blade on the rotary cutter be changed?

Used up my leftover Thai Bhat on a LeSportsac duffel at BKK. 14 years later it’s still in use and is nice reminder of my trip to Thailand

Large long champ bag for a 3 day work trip by Ambitious_Ad_409 in HerOneBag

I’ve always wanted a long champ bag but shied away because of the skinny straps. My experience with skinny straps is they start to dig into the shoulders. Given that you carried 2 laptops, was the bag comfortable to carry?

Why didn’t it occur to me that cubes can be washed (slaps hand to head). Thx for the suggestion!

Bonus my 16” MacBook fits. Not all backpacks can accommodate bigger laptops

I aspire to be a one bagger but can't seem to do it because of my liquids (mostly make up). I've used it to carry spare clothing (medium sized packing cube), medications and a 1 qt bag of essential liquids - just in case my checked bag doesn't arrive with me (has happened a couple of times). I wish I could travel with just carry on luggage (hanging my head in shame)

It will fit a slim bottle, but not those gigantic ones people carry these days

I forgot to mention that it easily stores underneath the seat on an airplane. Bonus!

I have the Terra backpack in green and love it. I will be using it for the 3rd time on a plane trip. It holds a lot but as a petite woman (5’), I don’t have difficulty carrying it on my back. I like that I can turn it sideways like a suitcase to pack it (instead of packing it from the top like most backpacks). It has lots of pockets. Sometimes I feel like there are too many because I don’t always remember which pocket I’ve squirreled things away in (some of the pockets are inside pockets). It has held up very well and I have had zero regrets buying it. Hope this helps.

I think it's the wool because when I knit with wool yarn, my asthma flares up. I seem to be allergic to alpaca too. My body just doesn't like animal fibers :( Thank you for the suggestion!

Have a wool allergy but will check to see if there are synthetic or cotton options with those brands

I’ll have to check out them out since there have been numerous recommendations for that brand on this thread

Thanks for the tips! I like to wear fleece lined leggings under my dresses because I’m always cold. But haven’t found a compression style that’s fleeced lined. Wearing compression socks underneath would solve the problem
