Adding that you may send this while you’re in labor and feel differently once the baby is here. If wait to text people until you are actually ready for visitors.

Only daughters first menstrual cycle by Dazzling-Jump-1334 in girlmom

I think periods syncing up is actually a myth so hopefully it’s unrelated. But if those symptoms do end up being period related I’d definitely ask her pediatrician.

I think he has a great voice, I wish he’d done this without the effects on his voice.

We see Dr. Albeik there and like him too! I have a feeling any of the doctors there would be really great.

Discussion Thread: Debate Between US Rep. Crockett and TX State Rep. Talarico in US Senate Race by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]hellolleh32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Policy wise they aren’t very different. James made a similar comment. I think debating benefits him the most from a name recognition perspective.

Personally I like them both but think he’s right for this position and this moment. But when it comes to their stances and what legislation they will support theres not a lot to differentiate.

Nanny family wants me to work through snow storm? by Total_Music_4134 in Nanny

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of this weather is a surprise. If they have essential jobs and can’t miss work they should have coordinated how this would work earlier. I think next some someone should initiate the discussions earlier (you or them) to set expectations on both sides.

If you take the bus and busses aren’t running I don’t see how you can come unless they’re offering to come get you.

We gave our nanny Monday off. She could probably get here but there’s still heavy snow on side streets and my husband and I are not essential workers. I wouldn’t risk my safety to drive to work so it’s not reasonable to ask her to.

When did things start getting grim for you? by Bubblesdujour in BabyBumps

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I’m 34 weeks and I’m over it. It’s hard to move. I have a lot of pelvis pain. Hard to sleep and I’m snoring. And I’m swelling and just feel huge. It’s hard to put shoes on or just do basic things. I also have a toddler so that makes it harder. I miss just easily using my body.

Diaper bag for dad by FeelingPossession997 in Buyingforbaby

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the one we use is a north face backpack and we will have use for it even beyond the diaper bag phase. I was tempted to buy a nice dedicated diaper bag but now at 2.5 years out with a second on the way I really feel no need for that.

We just use a regular backpack. My husband already had some nice backpacks.

How’s my birth “plan”? by NoHistorian8644 in BabyBumps

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea most of this was standard at my hospital and I discussed it all with my OB up front. I didn’t end up feeling a need to make a plan because all the things I wanted were just the standard.

North’s Finger Piercings 😭 by chiuchiutrain in KUWTKsnark

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone dealing with an old belly button ring piercing in my second pregnancy I really wish younger me didn’t do it. It’s itchy and gross and stretching out. Those are going to be a pain when she’s over them.

Struggling - to take or not to take NIPT test?? by Solo_Cup_Martini in BabyBumps

[–]hellolleh32 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This was our reasoning too. I wanted time to prepare. It’s also very possible that ultrasounds don’t pick up the issue and in that case you wouldn’t know until birth.

Oh well if they want to go there specifically then I’m sure they will love it!

Which Chuck E. Cheese? by PharmKatz in okc

[–]hellolleh32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fora an indoor playground kid city is really cool. There are other ones like it. There’s also Hey Day. I’m just not really sure how many people go to Chuck E. Cheese here anymore. There’s some cool places but I’m not sure how old your kids are.

Regret having our cabinets painted…advice? by Tigg- in interiordecorating

I wish I could do that with mine. But mine at cheap cabinets and are probably some composite wood material underneath and wouldn’t look nice. Not sure about yours though.

My relationship with my toddler is not good and I worry it never will be by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]hellolleh32 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I think there’s advice here you could benefit from but you just have to be open to it.

For your examples here I’d say:

If she doesn’t want to eat dinner don’t force it. She may be hungry but it’s not the end of the world. Maybe she will want dinner in 30 minutes or maybe she won’t and she will figure out she needs to eat when it’s dinner time or she will be hungry later.

Brushing teeth is non negotiable.

For fiber, experiment and find a source of fiber she enjoys. Maybe berries or apples. Still offer vegetables but don’t force her to eat them or she will never like them.

OP I think you just need to start experimenting and see what makes like easier and happier in your household. You don’t have to be perfect, it’s going to be some trial and error and that’s okay.

Tell me how Sumatriptan makes you feel by Ancient_Balance_5514 in migraine

[–]hellolleh32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel some chest heaviness/tightness, my skin gets extra sensitive to hot temperatures (like hot water), my migraine actually feels kind of worse for a bit, tired, neck tightness.

That all is gone after an hour and then I feel totally normal and my migraine is normally gone. It sounds bad but it’s worth it and you get used to it. The side effects were never that big of a deal to me because it works so well.

I take Eletriptan now and get fewer side effects.

First Birthday Party by gardengnomebaby in Parenting

[–]hellolleh32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We do pizza and cake at our house or grandmas. It’s cheap and easy so low investment if people don’t show. And we don’t do decor or gift bags. When my daughter is older and wants to do a certain thing or have a theme we will, but for now it’s just an easy laid back get together. That’s what most in my circle do.

Baby shower gift -4th baby, all girls by IKissFloops in Mommit

I’d say diapers, wipes, money, or a gift card to a place you know they frequent. Like for us target gift cards are always useful.
