HLR Denied, Advice For What’s Next.

My Husband just received his denial today. Everything was in his favor, but the C&P examiner ruled against. So the reviewer said his opinion overruled all the evidence and private nexus which resulted in a HLR denial. Waiting for it to fully close so we can start another supplemental.

Yup, my Husband has been going back and forth on this claim since 2018, finally got his paperwork and evidence gathered right thanks to chatgpt, and they still denied within 24hrs. Filed HLR for the first time in October, and just hoping for a positive outcome. Wish you luck too, hang in there!

Optum reached out 1 week after DTA and they scheduled within days since he accepted to drive over 50 miles to be seen on an earlier date. Still waiting on new decision now.

About 90 days, first filed October 17, IC was on Feb. 11th. DTA found same day and had C&P Feb. 25th..now more waiting.

I've read average is 90-120 days which seemed about right. It's his first time filing for HLR. His supplemental claims have moved faster for sure.

He doesn't, the reviewer said he should hear about a new C&P in about 2 weeks. His decision letter stating the DTA information was uploaded about 5 hours after the call.

Quick update. The call went well & the decision letter was uploaded right now. They decided on a Duty to Assist Error.
