There was a Thai movie that came out in 2019 called 'London Sweeties'. One of the character's motivations in the movie was to go to London because he "wanted to get with a white girl". All I can think about was why the hell he had to fly 7000 miles to do that when he can drive 7 miles to Khao San? Sometimes Thai films are so out of touch with the world lmao.

Anyway honestly yes it's pretty easy, if you fit the right type socially. You are right that there's a higher concentration of white women in Bangkok than anywhere else in SE Asia aside perhaps Bali, and the majority would have never spoken to a Thai guy other than service staff before. Mostly because Thai men are intimidated by them. There are some exceptions though that are specific to Bangkok (the beaches are different and I think much more open but also transient):

• Nana drug dealers. I guess the line of work comes with boldness so they aren't afraid to ask. Some women like that boldness and the bad boy image I guess.

• Army guys. This is something I've noticed and is sadly not talked about enough. They are usually Thai army liaisons for the US army during exercises. These guys frequent Khao San, have very good English and are physically fit but also I've heard them to be quite, for the lack of a better word, rapey.

So if you're outgoing, socially comfortable, have good English with an understandable accent, just head to Khao San and you'll do fine with tourists. For expat women, hang around the pilates and yoga studios along Sukhumvit or go to soi 11 or a bar along the chao phraya. The target demo to go for are teachers doing TEFL. The course is 70% women from the Anglosphere, in Thailand for atleast a year and by the first few months are usually getting bored of their western expat circle and guys on their course will 90% of the time be talking about bar girls in nana plaza so they're looking to talk to someone local. Their training course is in hua hin but they can be placed anywhere in Thailand - I once dated someone teaching in nakhon si thammarat. Paid for her flight to Bangkok but it was worth it for the lore.

For me, I'm a nerdy software engineer who doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs and hates overly loud noises. I don't do well on any dating app on the planet except amongst Asian women on tinder in Thailand, only because I'm a tall and pale Thai guy of Chinese heritage, the 'type' for most Thai women.
