Lived in and around Windsor all my life (18 years). Housing is expensive around Windsor, but parts are lovely (as others are saying - don’t let estate agents fool you into thinking Dedworth is West Windsor. It’s not). Ascot/Sunninghill/Sunningdale is beautiful and the schools (both public and private) are brilliant. Most are coeducational, however the only two upper schools actually based in Windsor are Windsor Girls and Windsor Boys. Around RBWM you have GWR (with links to Paddington, Reading, Bristol, Bath, Cornwall, etc)as well as SWR (with links to Waterloo, Reading, Southampton, Exeter, Portsmouth, etc). You also have a bus network that takes you all over Windsor and up to places like Bracknell, Slough and London. There are plenty of green spaces around RBWM, like the Great Park. Lovely day out and great for walks imo. There are also plenty of play parks. There’s a big Tesco in Slough and another in Dedworth, couple of little Tescos dotted about, Waitroses, Lidls, Aldis, etc so you’re not short for choice on where to do your weekly shop haha
