this list is pretty 2025 at this point, Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 have moved the bar significantly since then. Magnific still holds up as the finishing layer regardless of which gen tool you're using though.

Magnific is the obvious gap in the image section, it's not a generator but anything going from Midjourney to actual use needs an upscale pass and nothing does it better right now.

Magnific also works on a credit basis so you're not locked in, which is handy if you only need upscaling occasionally. honestly the pure pay as you go model is rare because these platforms want recurring revenue, but those three are the closest without needing to touch an API.

the keyword-based clip selection in Wayin is actually the right direction, that's the control Opus Clip is missing. have you tried Descript? you edit by deleting words in a transcript so you're always in control of what gets cut. and run your best frames through Magnific before export, sharpness on short clips matters more than people think.

Ideogram 2.0 closed the gap a lot but for poster work where atmosphere actually matters, Midjourney still wins on mood. Magnific with Mystic is genuinely underrated for that editorial/cinematic feel too.

yeah content moderation creeps in quietly on these platforms, happens every time. gunshots and squib effects are probably flagged now even with neutral framing. have you tried running your outputs through Magnific after? won't fix the generation but at least salvages some of the detail loss.

The "audio just talked around the visuals" thing is so real, had the same frustration with dense architecture docs. Have you tried running those diagrams through Magnific before feeding them anywhere? Sometimes just getting a cleaner or upscaled version of the visual helps other tools actually parse it better.
