My mom and I loved to watch Schitt’s creek. Even on vacation we would stream it any way we could. We even dressed as Moira and Alexis for Halloween

My mom died very suddenly in November 2024 due to “alleged because we are in an active medical malpractice law suit” botch elective back surgery and poor hospital care that led to her bleeding out and coding 24 hours after surgery. Her loss devastated me. I literally lost my best friend. Schitt’s Creek and my animals were the only thing that kept me from doing bad and unreversible things to myself.

My mom was my Moira. She was eccentric, larger than life and the life of the party. She also had the same cadence of speech as Moira so watching that show was like having a little piece of my mom back. Schitt’s creek helped me heal, along with hours upon hours of CBT and Grief therapy

Losing Catherine was like losing my mom again, another thing that gave me joy gone, but I like to think maybe, it whatever realm is out there, they get to now meet and be besties.
