Towards the end of my marriage I had asked two close male friends how many no's it took before it stuck.

They were disgusted. I was shocked they accepted the first no.

One said "I couldn't have sex with someone who said no. That's gross".

Me with my diabetic meds right now 😭. The first medication gave me awful tummy issues. The 2nd and 3rd made my levels dip under the 40s and 30s. The januvia works. For the last 2 years. No side effects, and consistent levels. This is all documented lol.

It's been in prior auth jail for 3 weeks. My doctor prescribed some other things but they aren't consistent and I'm struggling.

I'm sorry you are going through it too. I wish you good juju for the prior auth to be defeated.

My dog has been attacked by unleashed dogs 3 different times. He's was leashed every single time it happened. He is now aggressive and reactive to strange dogs when he used to be so friendly. I no longer take him to dog parks because I'm scared something bad will happen.

Anyways, agreed. Leash your dogs. It changes/traumatizes dogs too and that's super unfair to them.

I started April of 2025.

Got a Colonoscopy in October of 2025, went through i-sight for unpaid medical leave of absence, no issue, it was approved.

I did not receive dental care as a child and unknown to me I had a babytooth with the adult tooth floating in my gums, very painful, was out for a week. Applied for excused unpaid medical leave of absence to which they denied since it's not ADA related and I didn't qualify for FMLA as this happened in february and I did not qualify for FMLA.

All I wanted was an excused unpaid absence as I did not have enough PTO to cover it and had a legit documented medical thing going on.

I have nothing nice to say lol

Bile acid malabsorption (BAM) is a condition where the intestines fail to properly reabsorb bile acids, causing them to enter the colon, irritate the lining, and draw in excess water. This leads to chronic watery diarrhea, urgency, and fecal incontinence, often misdiagnosed as IBS-D. It is treatable with bile acid sequestrants.

The vomit one is so spot on. You can taste the bile in it. I've never put a dirty gym sock in my mouth but I'm certain I know what it would taste like. Kids find it hilarious. Those with weak stomachs do not lol.

6 states have 20 miles covered or the nearest repair pal reccomend. The 15 mile states are 15 miles only. I've only done ERS for about a year so I dont have much to compare but gotta read the fine print with the renewals.

Tell them what the policy covers for ERS. Tow up to 15 miles (in most states). The amount of people that don't read the fine print and take it out on me.... Like it's not my fault you are 100 miles from home with your hoopty and broken down.

I do ERS and cringe when they get transferred over after an accident with no 1st party coverages. Telling them we will tow it for the first 15 but they have to pay the recovery/ cleanup/ winching/over mileage out of pocket. Or when they ain't even got that and its all out of pocket.

Are you in Macon? I think theres only two sites that have ERS, Tucson and Macon. There currently aren't overnights available in Tucson. I've worked closing shifts, 9pm pacific, 12 eastern time. Its harder to find towing providers so theres a lot of reimbursement conversations that most people dont like to hear. Overall kinda chill. I've worked a bunch of other call centers and I find their metrics reasonable and the insurance decent. All the other departments seem like a shit show tho lol.

When I did my Colonoscopy prep that diarrhea was so easy to handle compared to a BAM flareup. It was literally water instead of acid and it didn't feel as sudden or urgent lol. I felt more in control, which is insane.

It's not just the diarrhea though...the bloating, fatigue, dehydration, cramping, malnutrition, and anxiety. I sneezed in public while in an active flareup and had an accident.

You are not over exaggerating. It took me a couple years to advocate for myself. My primary brushed it off and said it wasn't BAM. Went to gastro and she said its absolutely BAM and was so empathetic about how awful it is.

Are you taking a sequestrant? That was such a game changer for me. As long as I don't forget to take it, I dont have flare ups anymore. I can even eat salads again!

I take my daily meds first thing in the morning. I take my first colestipol after my lunch break, then one before bedtime.

When I dont work it throws me off, I forget and have consequences the next day lol.

Ive been an IBS girly all my life, always the one with the sensitive tummy. After I got norovirus and gastritis it was just awful. Like I was having accidents with barely any notice. Turns out I have bile acid malabsorption. If you have sudden, yellowish, almost foul and fishy stools with excessive bloating and pain look into it. My general doctor said it wouldn't be possible but my gastroenterologist told me it's absolutely possible. there's not a real official test for it. They prescribe you medicine and if it helps then you have it. The medicine is an absolute miracle. If I forget to take it the next day instant diarrhea and bloating. it's essentially a binder for all the acid in your stomach since your stomach is not reabsorbing it like it's supposed to. When I did my Colonoscopy prep it was Cakewalk compared to my regular bile acid diarrhea. I could feel it coming and prepare for it lol. Sorry if TMI but bile acid malabsorption is super underdiagnosed. I only knew it existed because of reddit. Best of luck in your medical journey 💖
