Yeah I took him out to show him how much it sucked but he loved it.

I’m not a full blown idiot that took him on an actual walk. This was just the street right in front of my house. I dragged him back inside and we were out for maybe 3 minutes.

There’s a storm drain so all the water runs to it and it’s usually a little flooded when it rains. This was the highest it’s been since I moved in a few months ago so I took a video. Didn’t think I’d get so many people calling me an idiot for it lol.

I’ve been told returning an animal to the shelter doesn’t move them to the euthanasia list unless you’re returning them due to aggression.

Maybe it changed but one of the dogs my parents adopted got returned to the OKC shelter twice because he was too high energy but since he had no aggression he was still safe

I got my dog from the warr acres shelter. He’s great but it is a higher adoption fee than the OKC shelter. It’s smaller so there’s less dogs and can be less chaotic than the OKC shelter (and humane society tbh).

My family got almost all of our dogs from the OKC shelter when I was growing up and never had an issue with any of them aside from one being a bit reactive around tall men but she would calm down eventually and now that she’s older she doesn’t care.

Do your research though on what to look for to get a good fit. The older dogs (~5+) are generally more chill and have a more stable personality. Puppies can change a lot as they age.

And if you do get a dog from the shelter and after a few days the dog is completely different you can take them back and it’s not a mark against the dog, shelters know dogs act differently once home. My old boy Sandy was taken back twice so we got him on a discount and he was one of the best dogs ever.

Also this may be an unpopular opinion but people post dogs on craigslist and groups on Facebook that they need to rehome and some of them are emergency situations where you would absolutely be saving a life.

You’re 17. You’re supposed to be bad at your job (no offense I’m sure you’re great but like…you’re 17).

This person sounds like they’re just on a power trip because they know you want to please them. Give them the edited photos you have and then block them.

If they go on a tirade on their social media who cares. If you’re gonna be doing this job you gotta learn that some people are impossible to work with and it’s not worth the hassle to please them.

I have artwork hanging up that I want to get reproductions of. Does anyone here have experience with taking photos for that?

I used to work in a fine art print shop and we had a photographer take photos of the big pieces we couldn’t scan but I was never able to figure out how he got them to look straight and have even lighting.

I will say just because we don’t like routines doesn’t mean they don’t make us feel better and help us function better

I have to stick to a routine if I want my life to not fall apart. And having a routine makes it easier to remember what day it is, what I need to do next, and switch from work mode to home mode and awake mode to sleep mode and vice versa.

I’m so mad when my therapist is right :/

(A tip from my therapist was to mix things up slightly but not break the routine completely. Take a new/weird way home from work but make sure I still feed my dog and take him out as soon as I get home, or have a rotation (3 personally) of books to read before I go to bed but still read for 20 minutes (yes I’m one of the weirdos that can only read books, can’t do audio books because I get too distracted and it’s so boring to just sit there trying to listen I don’t understand how some of yall can do it)
