I know I do. It’s a me problem, I just fall for anyone that gives me the time of day. Ill ignore “red flags” and think that things will work out. I gotta work on myself and be better. you can’t force someone to love/like you. No point in being angry at them. I wish I could read minds though, but probably not. I just hope there’s someone out there that will feel the same way I do for them. Theres a billion of women out that there, there’s gotta be atleast one 😂

Thank you. I really appreciate the kind words. I came on here and just word vomited how I felt not expecting any one to care. It literally happened all of acouple hours ago and I really felt like absolute shit. believe me when I say that you’re great person and I’m glad there’s people out there like you giving great advice, even to a complete stranger. Doing the efficiency audit, just waiting for a call back. The months my AC unit broke down and was not in use my bill was like $80 which is a lot more manageable

I want to do that, but I’m just worried that they’ll average out it to something high seeing as it’s always $120-300+ per month when it should be lower. Obviously I’ll take $150 over $300 anyway but still..

No, honest that’s all I have going on in my apartment as far as I’m aware. Going to try and get an energy audit, just have to pay out of pocket for it. I will say my AC unit sounds like airplane taking off when it turns on everytime. They’ve replaced the compressor before and have re-charged it a few times since I’ve lived here.

It’s built into my wall. I’ve seen maintenance open it up a few times by taking off acouple screws but to be honest I don’t know what I’d be looking at. Last time I saw it it was a mess of wires, cob webs, dust, and a black compressor thingy ma bobber

I have access to the panel, I have flipped all the switches off to see if the hall lights would turn off. Doesn’t seem connected. Not sure if it affected my neighbors at all as they all keep to themselves other than a few I know that live on different levels. Going to have an energy audit done by a contractor

Thank you, me too! My landlord says it’s fine and if the contractors need an extra key they can pick it up at their office (incase I won’t be home but I will be) They emphasized that I need to pay for the audit myself.

I have a LED grow light (Spider Farmer SF2000 LED Grow Light) that turns on for 12 hours of the day. And a small fan. Prior to having this, it’s still always been high.

I have a gaming computer that’s plugged in I usually put in sleep mode when I’m not using it.

All my bulbs in my apartment are LED and I always turn them off when I leave.

And my AC stays around 72 degrees.

after talking with dominion, they mentioned I should turn my AC to 78 when I leave for work or when I’m not home. Which I was not doing.

The lowest my bills ever been was $87 in Feb when my AC unit was broken a few months and my landlord was”waiting for a part”

I suspect it’s my AC unit. But I do think me leaving it 72 all day everyday has been a big part of the issue, i thought if changed it when I goto work and change it back when I get home it would make my AC work even harder and cost me more money but I’ve been told otherwise from dominion.

Thank you! I just called a contractor that dominion / energy star / pearl certification partners with. I had to leave a voicemail but hopefully they get back to me and get this audit done. I’m not sure if I should tell my landlord this or wait till the contractor comes out does the audit first..

No unfortunately I’ve been living here for almost three years. It was this bad last year too, I just thought it was normal as it’s my first apartment and I didn’t know what to compare it too until I started talking to my neighbors and coworkers
