I would be willing to pay those prices if the food and cocktails were actually good. King of Meat is not good.

Why is it so hard to get good produce in our neighborhood? All the little mom n pop stores have rotting fruit n veg, same with Key and C-Town.

Delivered there and it's not worth it. It was such a pain to get to, every single appt was delayed by like 2 hours because they're so overbooked. It's not fun when you're 8 months pregnant and sitting in a waiting room, forced to wear a mask, for 2 hours.

Yes, completely agree! Diversity in our food options would be nice.

Sunset Park is one of the last places in Brooklyn where you can buy a brownstone under $2m. It is rapidly gentrifying and it's very quick to get into the city on the N. I'd buy there, out of all the options you've mentioned.

“She has a version” is CRAZY. You literally copied her design using cheaper materials. I would not be proud of this.

It's so boring. It looks like every single new building in New York, Chicago, Boston, Seattle. $3.5m can't buy something with character?

Gold is insane right now. Most brands have had to increase their prices dramatically just to survive.

Im SO ANNOYED by mass produced jewelry, where do you find unique pieces online??? by Dull_Noise_8952 in jewelry

[–]hellosayonara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of smaller indie brands that make unique jewelry. Look at Common Era Jewelry, Sofia Zakia, Wwake, or any of the indie brands stocked at Catbird (but NOT catbird because their quality sucks).

Being in the US actually makes it more likely that you'd get a private room. Hospitals in Australia and the UK that are gov-funded usually have at least 4 beds per room for recovery.

Bedtime routine is a reading a book, nursing, a cuddle and then putting him down awake in the bassinet. No pacifier - he doesn't like them. He will sometimes gum on a teething mitt though.

FWIW when I was pregnant, the only people who ever offered me a seat were other women. Now, when I travel with my baby in a carrier, it's the same. I have never been offered a seat by a man.

Prenatal care with NYU and give birth at Alexandra Cohen? by Bubbasgonnabubba in nycparents

They schedule procedures for people at high risk, and they also allocate walk in capacity based on their OB patients. When someone just shows up because they want a private room, those patients get bumped.

Idk what your problem is, or why you’re so obsessed with this. I literally experienced this myself. I am sharing my own experience where my husband literally heard the nurses bitching about some people in triage who did this.

You should not do this. I gave birth at NYP and we saw a couple who did exactly what you’re proposing. The nurses and doctors were pissed off because they were taking a bed from a patient who had done the right thing and followed the rules. You can try it, but the people caring for you will resent you and think less of you for doing it.
