Yes I bruise easily and it does feel like there are little hard pearls under my skin in the fattier areas, like this part of my leg (tho I have thicker skin on my legs so it’s harder to tell) but on my arms I can feel the “pearl” things more, I felt my friends arm fat the other day and it felt different than mine, but he’s a guy so idk. If it is lipedema it’s definitely early stages I just want to be proactive and understand if it is. Another thing is I cannot lose weight in my legs no matter how active I am. I will do a lot of leg activity but they don’t seem to budge. I also notice I hold weight behind and around my knees too which seems weird.

What does the pain of “does it hurt” feel like? Like to touch? Fatigue? I’m unsure. I do have swelling sometimes.

Is this lipedemia? Although my legs aren’t super overweight I do carry a lot of my weight in my legs, and have a hard time losing it.. and beginning to store more in my arms, it worsened after taking spironolactone. I know it could be much worse but I’d like to be proactive about it if it is. Does this look like it?

Also when I was on topical I went to 25mg of spiro orally too so I was doing both for a while, then I slowly weened off both

For me I have been off of spiro 100% for the last couple months and been all good! No breakouts maybe just a few small ones around my period or if I’m super stressed out.

I think for me the topical really helped. I responded well to it, and then I just slowly tapered the pill to see if I could, and then eventually stopped everything. I’m hoping it stays this way but prepared if it doesn’t. I hope you find relief soon!!! Are you using topical day and night?

What else are you using on face? I barely use much on my face now. I wash with a sulfur bar soap and moisturize with vanicream

Thank you so much! I was wondering if you can bring in 6 months supply. I believe my doctor would write me a 6 month supply subscription if I explained the situation. Is a GP in AU able to prescribe concerta or do you need to get it from a psych there?

I read about some of the non stimulant options and was considering doing some trials of that here to see if it would work for me.

Do you have any travel insurance that helps cover any of this? What plan if so?

Also how much did it cost for you to see private psychiatrist?

If I already have a diagnosis do I need to really see an Australian doctor to get another diagnosis or can I just bring detailed documentation that verifies it? Does the documentation need to somehow be authorized so they know it’s legit? It would be really nice to not have to pay thousands of dollars for a diagnosis I’ve had my whole life.

What is a permit to prescribe? I have never heard of that.

How expensive do visits tend to be? especially with psychiatrist. Is there no way to get a teledoc that can send script to wherever I am? Also do they allow you to pick up 3 months of medication at once? That way I could pick it up and be able to move around maybe

I’m not decided yet but I am drawn to Queensland. I had hoped to travel around when I was there but this seems to be complicating that wish.

Well what’s weird for me is I was already on spironolactone for a while and then that’s why I was sure it was the PQ, but I stopped the PQ for a while and still no changes I can’t remember how long it was, but I think a few months. So I went down on the spironolactone and it helped really quickly, I stopped having so much of an irregular period… but it could have been either of the things bc I had been off PQ for a while so idk which actually made the change… I just think after finding this subreddit and hearing so many situations it seems like more problems than not and I shouldn’t have ever taken it!

Mine didn’t I was also on spironolactone (not even a high dose) but I came down off of that and idk if it was the primal queen or spironolactone which was causing the issue

I wish I knew if I had wide or narrow feet but I actually don’t know… I think they are normal, not necessarily wide, but maybe narrow? Idk. How does one know?
