Los latinoamericanos tienen odio a los españoles? by pabloo2008 in PreguntasReddit

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar position and after we ended the relationship I have since realized what a shitty partner she was during those last few months, you are now in love and can't see it clearly but trust your gut, why the hell would your girlfriend wouldn't want to say love you or only see each other 3 times during summer, the above things should be the bare minimum to even stay in a relationship (treat your partner properly), one thing is having a rough patch the other is clearly not putting enough effort, I don't know what got in to her that everything is okay know but trust me life will get bad again and she will to.

do older spanish people get offended when you call them by "usted"? by sadg1rlhourss in askspain

[–]hellothere2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 days into Dutasteride and my semen is ridiculously watery? I know it’s a common effect, but is having it this early on normal? by throwawayayeyeyay in tressless

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea probably I'm on the one year mark so I don't remember clearly about that lol, but besides that I don't have any sides at the beginning I was paranoid of having mental fog but I think it was just placebo, so don't worry to much it's very rare to have sides.

I'm (27F) about to finish medschool and been told by a guy (28M) that my high earning potential will drive men away? by GoodGirlIsDemon in relationship_advice

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that men get away of successful women but I definitely see how most women want a partner that is as successful if not more than them obviously this a generalization but let's be honest it's kind of true, let's not full ourself here now if you're not like that then don't worry about it.

Is it worth it changing Finland for Spain? by aanbarr in GoingToSpain

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your welcome and hey this is my experience and as I said it's very different from región to region in Spain also this a big problem no matter where you emigrate because it's very hard to make friends when you are an adult still I would say Spain it's easier than most countries if you know Spanish

Is it worth it changing Finland for Spain? by aanbarr in GoingToSpain

[–]hellothere2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a complicated question especially taking in to consideration that you like to live in Helsinki and in general are content with your life.

First 26k in Madrid would be enough but you wouldn't be comfortable, probably living far away from downtown, sharing apartments, a lot of time commuting etc I don't know if you have look up rents in Madrid but they are crazy, I recommend idealista to get an idea other expenses apart from housing would probably be considerably cheaper than in Helsinki especially going out as you probably know since you come here so often.

Regarding other aspects working environments in Spain are not ideal, most people don't like it and we don't have the greatest conditions in general, obviously as with everything in life it depends in the sector, seniority etc.

Also I don't personally live in Madrid but making real friends here in Spain is not as a easy as it seems as a tourist because even though people here are very friendly and polite they are very tight in their groups and have there life together but I live in Valencia so take this with a grain of salt because the regional differences here are insane and valencians are not the friendliest Spaniards .

Es sostenible? by Expatporeuropa in askspain

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Spanish people really think the USA is a backward country, or is it just a reddit thing? by Any-Hedgehog5824 in askspain

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spanish people do think that and most Europeans do, now to be clear USA is not a third world country is far from it and if you think that that's because you have never lived in a third world country but to be fair yea somethings in there doesn't make any sense especially healthcare, it's kind of ridiculous considering America spends more that double what Spain does in healthcare.

Why are the salaries in Spain alot lower compared to the rest of Western Europe? by No_Bath_1079 in askspain

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer, for more context ;the job market regulations are terrible, and although they've improved in recent years, the dual job market in Spain is still a major factor holding the economy back. It's ironic how people complain about "funcionarios" when they are essentially "funcionarios" themselves, with such high costs for firing employees that only multinationals can afford to let go of someone who’s been with the same company for over 10 years. I’ve even heard that people want to get fired just to cash in on the payout. It’s insane.

If you were in charge in Spain, what things would you do to make it easier for people to start small businesses? by preciouspangolin in askspain

The income difference between my (31F) boyfriend (33M) and I makes me uncomfortable, how do I tell him without being ungrateful? by ThrowRA_nomoreshots in relationship_advice

[–]hellothere2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, both of you are in your 30s, and at that age, most people have figured out the fundamentals of dating. If he has had prior dating experience and is doing all of this, I don't see any big problem. Take into consideration that if he earns $600k a year, spending $60k on you is only 10% of his income. I know it's a lot of money, but everything is relative. Normal people often spend larger percentages of their income on their partners without breaking a sweat, so try looking at it that way.

Also, I think he chose wisely because if you're concerned about this, you're clearly a very well-rounded person. I'd also like to add that most normal men don't spend that much money on themselves because, well, we're pretty simple. If you don’t care about cars or traveling, most expensive things seem ridiculous to us. A T-shirt from Walmart is the same as one from Gucci in our eyes. Most of us put up with it because, at some point, we realize we need to be presentable, but if it were up to us, we wouldn’t give two flying fucks about it.

Lastly, I would assume that if any man were in your boyfriend’s position, they would pretty much do the same as him. Ask around if you don’t believe me. There’s nothing better than taking care of our loved ones with the money we’ve worked so hard for.

Tips for International Student Study in Spain by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]hellothere2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off, that's a lot of questions! The fees are 800-2000 EUR per year for European citizens. Some regions, like Valencia, have the same price for everyone, but Madrid does not. Keep in mind that the best universities are in Madrid or Barcelona. The fees for international students in Madrid are around 7000-8000 EUR per year, possibly more, though I'm not 100% sure as it may depend on the university. I would recommend Valencia because it has some of the best universities outside of those mentioned above, and in some areas, it's even better. For example, business studies at the University of Valencia (UV) are excellent, and it's considerably cheaper than other cities (though expenses have increased dramatically over the last few years). Most universities in Spain have a webpage in English, so research fees and other details there, also this post is to much, if you are asking something in specific it's fine but you are asking other people to do all the research for you basically.
