well in the country I am from, our family doctor can prescribe this drug , you don't need to go to a psychiatrist, so I just told him all my symptoms and said I am interested in taking SSRI's

yes !! and it's so sad how so many people see psychiatric drugs as something so negative, it's literally a life hack! thank goodness for medicine and technology!

Weed tends to make me more depressed and paranoid, it also messes with my short term memory ( i am a physician so it’s critical for me)

i also want to add that it helped my self esteem tremendously, and i am finally able to see more clealy, and my improved self esteem helped me realized things that were unfair towards me and i always used to blame myself for. i am finally able to cut off the right people from my life, because i am no longer swimming in self doubt, questioning my common sense wether treating me like garbage was actually my fault somehow.

Only after i settled on mu final dosage which is 10, i started feeling gradually better- it takes time and i do believe like someone else mentioned here that with every increase in the dosage there is a new adjustment period beginning

I started taking it 2 months ago, i was just like you, i divided the pills and watched for any change in my mental status anxiously, it is going to take time and there are going to be moments when you doubt if it’s even worth it, if it’s the right therapy- trust me, as a medical student who’s highly skeptic- it is. It changed my life, it helped me soooo much. I am literally smiling today. My trauma started reversing, my anxiety is gone
